SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 16-28-10 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1981.
•    The Beavers are unbeaten in their last four matches versus the Lyons and are 6-4-6 in the series since 2011 and eight of the 16 games during this stretch have been tied after 90 minutes.  
•    The Green and White recorded a 3-0 win over Wheaton at Mirrione Stadium in 2023 but is just 1-3-3 on the road in the series since 2011. 
LAST MEETING
•    
Elisa Diletizia '25 scored a pair of second-half goals to help the fourth-seeded Beavers defeat fifth-seeded Wheaton, 3-1, in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal on November 5, 2024, in Babson Park. 
•    Sophomore 
Josie Lee opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Diletizia made it 2-0 in the 61st minute and then completed her brace in the 82nd minute for Babson, which got assists from juniors 
Claudia Baiter and 
Caroline Sutherland as well as two saves from 
Nora Ryan '25. 
•    Maya Thomas converted a feed from Julia Sternat in the 79th minute for the Lyons, who got eight saves from Patricia Bandrup while getting outshot 22-6 in the match. 
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (7-2-5, 6-1-1 NEWMAC) got back in the win column with a 2-1 victory at Smith on Wednesday afternoon. 
•    Senior
 Izzy DeMatos scored her first goal of the season in the 39th minute and Sutherland followed with her first marker of the year in the 59th minute for the Beavers, who outshot the Bears 24-5 while getting one save from first-year goalkeeper 
Maisie Creamer. 
•    
Josie Lee (4-2-10) has two goals and two assists in league play, first-year
 Izzy Lee (2-1-5) leads the team with two game-winning goals, and classmate 
Autumn Simon (1-2-4), who is tied for the team lead in assists, is one of nine different players to score this fall for the Green and White.
•    Creamer (3-1-1) has started the last five matches and owns a 1.02 goals against average to go along with a .783 save percentage and one shutout after senior 
Cleo Grignard and junior 
Callahan Cottone combined to post a 0.56 goals against average and a .884 save percentage over Babson's first nine games. 
SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Wheaton (7-7, 3-5 NEWMAC) has dropped three of its last four games and is coming off a 3-0 loss at No. 8 MIT on Wednesday. 
•    Bandrup made eight of her nine saves in the first half for the Lyons, who were outshot 28-1 and conceded a pair of goals less than six minutes apart early in the second half. 
•    Ali Roche (8-3-19) ranks sixth in the league in scoring and has produced five goals in conference play, Katie Wickenheisser (6-1-13) has scored twice against NEWMAC foes, and Thomas (2-2-6) is tied for second on the team in assists and has two goals and one helper over the last five games. 
•    Bandrup has started all 14 matches this fall posting a 1.32 goals against average and a .858 save percentage to go along with three clean sheets. 
PLAYOFF PUSH
•    The Beavers, who secured a spot in November's conference tournament on Wednesday, are sitting on 19 points through their first eight NEWMAC fixtures and are currently in third place behind MIT (24 points) and Emerson (20 points). 
•    Babson can secure a top-four seed and home-field advantage for the quarterfinals on November 4 with a victory on Saturday.
•    Wheaton (9 points) is tied for seventh in the league standings with Coast Guard, which is one point ahead of Clark and two points better than Salve Regina with three games to go.
BEAVER BITES
•    
Josie Lee has produced a first-half goal in each of Babson's games against Wheaton in 2024. 
•    DeMatos' goal late in the first half of Wednesday's win at Smith was the third of her career and her first since a September 23, 2023, win over Coast Guard. 
•    Sutherland's goal was the second of her career and gave the Beavers' their first two-goal lead of the season on Wednesday at Smith. 
•    The 39th-minute goal by DeMatos was the Beavers' first in the first half since sophomore 
Lillian McAughan scored in the 20th minute of a 2-1 win over Clark on October 8.
STRIKING LATE
•    Babson has notched eight of its 13 goals on the season in the second half, which includes scoring four times over the final 13 minutes of a match. 
•    First-year 
Lindsay Cassady converted an 85th-minute penalty kick to deliver a 1-0 win at Mount Holyoke on October 11, 
Josie Lee and 
Izzy Lee both scored over the final 5:04 to help the Beavers defeat Coast Guard 2-1 on September 27, and 
Josie Lee notched the go-ahead goal in the 78th minute of Babson's 2-1 victory over Clark on October 8. 
NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 3-0-2 on the road with four shutouts in league play this fall, conceding only a 78th-minute penalty kick at Smith on Wednesday.
•    Babson is 15-1-4 in its last 20 games played on natural grass dating back to October 12 of last season.
•    The Green and White is 3-0-1 this season and 63-4-4 against league foes dating back to September 18, 2012, when scoring at least two goals.
•    The Beavers are 7-1-4 this season when limiting their foes to one or fewer goals.
