WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson women's golf team will compete in the inaugural Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Championship on Monday and Tuesday at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, Pa.
• The Beavers will compete against fellow league foes Carlow (Pa.), Christopher Newport (Va.), Johnson & Wales (N.C.), Kean (N.J.), Penn State Altoona, Salisbury (Md.) and Stockton (N.J.) over 36 holes on the 5,472-yard par 72 layout in southeast Pennsylvania.
• The formation of the single-sport conference was announced last March and the winner of the conference tournament will begin receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship in 2027-28.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS
• Babson is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Polar Bear Shootout in Brunswick, Maine, back on October 5.

Vanya Bansal shot 71-74 to finish ninth with a 36-hole total of 145, sophomore
Camila Amaya posted rounds of 75-79 to grab a share of 22nd position at 8-over and classmate
Alice Zhu closed with a 1-over 74 to move into a tie for 27th place with a two-day total of 9-over 155 for the Beavers, who ended the weekend at 26-over 610 behind five nationally-ranked teams.
• Bansal (75.83) has three rounds of 74 or better in six starts this fall, sophomore
Hannah McCarthy is second on the team with a 77.67 stroke average, and first-year
Katie Yang (78.00) and Zhu (78.75) both have a low round of 74 on the year.
• The Green and White owns a team scoring average of 310.00 through its first six rounds of the season.
BANSAL EARNS CWGC RECOGNITION
• After shooting 71-74 at Bowdoin's Polar Bear Shootout, Bansal was tabbed as the CWGC Golfer of the Week for the second time this season back on October 9.
• Her 2-under 71 matched the lowest score in relation to par in program history and her 36-hole total of 1-under 145 marked the first time in the three year history of the program that a Babson golfer finished a tournament under par.
SCOREBOARD WATCHING
• Babson is ranked ninth in the East Region and 21st nationally in the first Division III rankings released by Scoreboard back on October 15 with an adjusted scoring average of 303.00.
• Among individuals, Yang is ranked 16th in the region and 47th nationally, while Bansal debuts at No. 19 in the region and No. 60 overall in Division III.
• After ending their inaugural season ranked 75th, the Beavers ascended to as high as No. 11 ahead of last spring before concluding the year ranked 26th nationally.
ABOUT THE CWGC FIELD
• Christopher Newport, which owns a 312.5 team scoring average in four tournaments this fall and is ranked 28th in the Scoreboard computer rankings, is led by the trio of Katie Watson (78.00), Julia Pelletier (78.10) and Gabi McGehee (78.90). Watson boasts three top-25 finishes, while McGehee and Pelletier both recorded one top-15 finish apiece in September.
• Salisbury's Krista Brosius (82.80) has posted three top-10 finishes in five starts this fall, while Carlow's Maci Lorigan was selected as the CWGC Golfer of the Week on October 17 after shooting 76-84 at the USCAA Championship.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson's final round score of 301 at the Polar Bear Shootout was its lowest of the season.
• The Beavers 36-hole total of 310 at Brunswick Golf Club was also their best in three events this fall.
• The Green and White has had at least one play shoot a 74 or better in four of the last five rounds.
