ROME, Ga.—The Babson College men's tennis duo of sophomores Sebastian Mendoza (Weston, Fla.) and Edward Wang (Burr Ridge, Ill.) saw their run at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup come to an end in the doubles semifinals on Saturday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center. 

The Beavers' top duo dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Matthew Johnstone and Ajay Kartik of Emory University after reaching the semifinals with wins in their first two matches on Thursday and Friday. The loss was the first of the season for Mendoza and Wang, who end the fall with a record of 15-1. 

Mendoza and Wang become the first Babson men's players to earn a spot at the ITA Cup after capturing the program's first ITA New England Championships doubles crown back on October. 5. 

Babson will being the spring portion of its schedule in February.
