SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (7-5, 1-2 NEWMAC) had its four-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday falling at Clark, 79-75.

Nate Amado posted a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds and graduate student
Felix Kloman finished with 24 points and four steals for the Beavers, who were just 7-of-29 (24.1 percent) from three-point range and allowed the Cougars to shoot 50.9 percent in the loss.
• Kloman (19.3 pts, 4.1 reb, 2.6 ast) leads the NEWMAC in scoring and finished with at least 15 points in 10 straight outings, Amado (18.5 pts, 8.2 reb) has three double-doubles and ranks second in the conference in both scoring and rebounding, and first-year
Timmy Mulvey (9.5 pts, 3.3 ast) is shooting 43.1 percent from beyond the arc.
• The Green and White, which ranks 23rd in Division III in adjusted offense according to The D3 Datacast, is averaging 75.4 points on 44.3 percent shooting.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• MIT (7-5, 1-2 NEWMAC) saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with a 75-67 loss at Salve Regina on Wednesday night.
• Gogolin led four players in double figures with 18 points, Rome Delgado-Gonzalez added 16 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Tim Minicozzi came off the bench to contribute 11 points for the Engineers, who shot a season-worst 38.1 percent.
• Dobie (15.8 pts, 4.4 reb, 2.0 stl) leads the team in scoring and steals but played just three minutes in the loss at Salve Regina, Delgado-Gonzalez (12.3 pts, 4.5 reb) is shooting a league-best 59.4 percent from the floor and Gogolin and Spencer Lin (3.8 ast) are both averaging 12.2 points.
• MIT, which is 5-0 at home this season, is averaging 76.3 points while shooting a NEWMAC-best 46.3 percent from the field.
AWARD TOUR
• After picking up wins over Case Western Reserve, No. 6 Wooster and No. 3 Trinity last week, Kloman and Amado were both recognized for their play.
• The MVP of the E.M. "Mose" Hole Classic, Kloman averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals on the way to being named NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week, earning a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and becoming the first player in program history to be tabbed as the USBWA Division III Player of the Week.
• Amado, who was named to the E.M. "Mose" Hole All-Tournament team, averaged 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 1.0 blocks to earn NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
GIANT KILLERS
• Despite their 1-2 start in conference play, the Beavers are 3-1 this season against nationally-ranked foes and have handed No. 6 Trinity, No. 10 Wooster and No. 22 WPI their first loss of the season over the last month.
• The last time Babson defeated three nationally-ranked teams in the same season came back in 2016-17 when it upended No. 3 Tufts in December, the 14th-ranked Jumbos again in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and No. 1 Whitman in the national semifinals on the way to capturing the program's first national championship.
PRODUCING AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
• Horan averaged 17.5 points on 52.4 shooting to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while sophomore
Jared Flaks averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 boards in two wins over MIT last year.
• O'Toole matched his career high with 15 rebounds and had a career-best six steals in a 62-52 OT win over the Engineers in Cambridge on January 18, 2023.
• Junior
Tyler Lauder has averaged 7.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in four career games versus MIT.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers finished with a season-high 11 steals in Wednesday's loss at Clark, including a season-high five by first-year Ryan Fraunheim and four by Kloman.
• Babson is 5-2 this season when holding its opponents below 70 points.
• The Green and White is 5-0 on the year and 30-3 over the last four seasons when its foes shoot below 40 percent.
