SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 32-7 all-time against Emerson in a series that dates back to the 1951-52 campaign.
• The Beavers have dropped their last two games to the Lions and the teams have split their last eight contests going back to January 30, 2022.
• Eight of the last nine contests between Babson and Emerson have been decided by single digits, which includes four games by five points or less and two more in overtime.
• The Green and White is 11-1 against the Lions inside Staake Gymnasium going back to 2014 with the lone loss coming in overtime in the 2022 NEWMAC semifinals.
LAST MEETING
• Trevor Arico led all scorers with 19 points and Jacob Armant added 14 points and a game-high five assists to help Emerson defeat Babson, 64-62, on December 4 in Boston.
• Guillermo Gasset Ruiz contributed 10 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Lions, who led by as many as 10 points in the first half and outscored the Green and White 19-10 over the final nine minutes of the game.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (11-6, 5-3 NEWMAC) has won eight of it last 10 games and defeated Coast Guard, 74-72, on Thursday night in New London, Conn.
• Amado finished with game highs of 24 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, while Mulvey and first-year
Ryan Frauenheim both scored 12 points for the Beavers, who outscored the Bears 17-9 over the final eight-plus minutes of the game.
• Kloman (18.8 pts, 4.1 reb, 2.5 ast, 1.5 blocks) leads the NEWMAC in scoring and is second in blocked shots, Amado (18.6 pts, 8.1 reb, 2.9 ast) is second in the conference in both scoring and rebounding, and the duo of graduate student
Alex Stoddard (10.4 pts, 3.3 reb) and Mulvey (10.1 pts, 2.8 ast) both rank among the top five in league play in three-point field goals.
• The Green and White ranks second in NEWMAC play in both scoring offense (76.3 points) and scoring defense (66.9) and has a turnover rate of just 13.9 percent.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (7-10, 2-6 NEWMAC) has dropped three straight and seven of its last eight games after falling to Salve Regina 80-66 on Thursday night.
• Lucas Brenner knocked down four three-pointers and scored a team-high 12 points, while Linus Helmold contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for the Lions, who shot just 36.1 percent and committed 16 turnovers in the loss.
• Arico (15.0 pts, 3.0 reb) is shooting 40 percent from three-point range, Armant (13.2 pts, 3.5 reb, 2.6 ast) is shooting just 8-of-26 over the last three games and Brenner (9.6 pts, 3.6 reb) leads the team with 40 three-point field goals and is shooting 44 percent overall on the year.
• Emerson, which is averaging 67.1 points on 41.3 percent shooting in league play, has given up at least 72 points in each of its last six games.
CONFERENCE PLAY HITS THE HALFWAY POINT
• Babson, which was picked to finish first in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll, is currently third in the league standings, two games behind WPI (7-1) and a game in back of Clark (6-2) for second.
• The Beavers have averaged 1.11 points per possession over their first eight games versus NEWMAC foes and are outscoring their opponents by 0.13 points per possession but have suffered three losses, all on the road, by a total of eight points.
SUPPORTING AFTD
• For the third season in a row, the Babson men's basketball program has partnered with
Spencer Cline M'22 to raise money and awareness for The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD).
• Cline, who lost his father to FTD in 2012, has raised more than $23,000 over the past three years.
• FTD is the most common form of dementia for people under the age of 60. It strikes in the prime of life, gradually eroding an individual's personality: their ability to speak, make sound decisions, control their movements, behave within social norms and relate to those they love.
• In addition to online donations, Saturday's contest will also feature cash raffle with a chance to win two tickets to the Boston Celtics game versus the Miami Heat on Wednesday, April 2.
AMADO NAMED TO BEVO FRANCIS AWARD WATCH LIST
• Amado was one of 29 Division III players and 100 players in all named to the initial Bevo Francis Award Watch List by the Small College Basketball awards committee last week.
• Given each year since 2016, the Bevo Francis Award is presented to the top player among Division II and II, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA programs across the country, and Amado joins current associate head coach
Joey Flannery, who was a finalist in both 2016 and 2017, to be named to the Bevo Francis Watch List.
• Amado currently ranks second in program history in blocked shots (81), 10th in made field goals (521), 12th in both scoring (1,355 points) and rebounding (587) and 13th in three-pointers (100).
TRENDS TO WATCH
• Over his last 11 games against NEWMAC foes going back to last year's conference tournament, Amado has recorded three double-doubles is averaging 19.4 points and 7.9 rebounds on 52 percent shooting.
• Stoddard is averaging 12.7 points in seven NEWMAC games this winter and has scored in double figures four times.
• Junior
Timmy O'Toole, who ranks second in the league in offensive rebounds (2.7), has pulled down at least one in 27 of his last 28 games dating back to last January and has grabbed four or more offensive boards 12 times during this stretch.
• Over Babson's last three games, Mulvey is averaging 14.7 points on 50 percent shooting and first-year
Ryan Frauenheim is contributing 9.7 points, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals and has committed just one turnover in 65 minutes of action.
• In wins over Salve Regina and Coast Guard this week, first-year
Vaughn Foster has contributed 13.5 points on 8-of-12 shooting (66.7 percent), 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 25.0 minutes off the bench.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 7-0 this season when their opponents shoot below 40 percent.
• Babson, which was just 3-of-16 in Thursday's win at Coast Guard, is 6-0 this winter when making at least 10 three-pointers.
• The Green and White is 8-1 on the year when outrebounding its foes.
• Babson has won six consecutive NEWMAC home games dating back to last January, all by at least 11 points.
