SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 63-28 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 campaign.

Nate Amado finished with 22 points, six rebounds and three assists to help the Beavers defeat Coast Guard, 87-76, in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal on February 20, 2024, in Babson Park.

David Cross netted 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with five boards and three assists for Babson, which shot 46.9 percent and built a 21-point first-half lead.
• Mitch Shettles led all scorers with 30 points and Declan Rooney added 14 points, four assists and three rebounds for the Bears, who cut their deficit to just eight with 8:10 left in the second half before the Green and White responded with a 13-5 run.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (10-6, 4-3 NEWMAC) has won seven of its last nine games after dispatching Salve Regina, 84-66, on Tuesday night inside Staake Gymnasium.

Timmy Mulvey both finished with 17 points for the Beavers, who shot a season-best 54.4 percent from the field.

Felix Kloman (18.8 pts, 4.1 reb, 2.5 ast, 1.5 blocks) leads the NEWMAC in scoring and is third in blocked shots, Amado (18.3 pts, 8.1 reb, 2.9 ast) is second in the conference in both scoring and rebounding, and the duo of Stoddard (10.8 pts, 3.3 reb) and Mulvey (10.0 pts, 2.9 ast) both rank among the top five in league play in three-point field goals.
• The Green and White ranks second through its first seven NEWMAC games in both scoring offense (76.6 points) and scoring defense (66.1) while turning the ball over on just over 14 percent of its possessions.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (7-9, 3-4 NEWMAC) has dropped three of its last four games and suffered a 70-64 loss to Wheaton on Tuesday night.
• Ben Yagey scored 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting and Rooney and Trevor Parks both added 10 points for the Bears, who led 60-58 with 4:02 remaining despite going just 9-of-32 (28.1 percent) from beyond the arc on the night.
• Luke Farrell (15.2 pts, 6.3 reb, 1.5 blocks) is shooting 50 percent and has scored at least 17 points in four of the last six games, Rooney (14.4 pts, 4.9 reb, 2.8 ast, 1.8 stl) has scored in double figures in eight of the last nine contests and Yagey is contributing 10.6 points and 2.9 boards.
• Coast Guard ranks fifth in the league in scoring offense (72.3 points) on 43.3 percent shooting but has allowed 73.1 points and has been outrebounded in four of its last six contests.
AMADO NAMED TO BEVO FRANCIS AWARD WATCH LIST
• Amado was one of 29 Division III players and 100 players in all named to the initial Bevo Francis Award Watch List by the Small College Basketball awards committee last week.
• Given each year since 2016, the Bevo Francis Award is presented to the top player among Division II and II, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA programs across the country, and Amado joins current associate head coach
Joey Flannery, who was a finalist in both 2016 and 2017, to be named to the Bevo Francis Watch List.
• Amado currently ranks third in program history in blocked shots (79), 12th in rebounds (579) and 13th in points (1,331), made field goals (513) and three-pointers (100).
BEAVER BITES
• Senior
Tyler Lauder handed out a career-high six assists in Babson's win over Salve Regina on Tuesday.
• After scoring 23 points in his first 12 appearances off the bench, Foster went 3-of-3 from beyond the arc in the first half on the way to setting a new career high with 17 points in a career-best 24 minutes on Tuesday night.
• Amado posted his fifth double-double of the year on Tuesday with 12 points and 10 rebounds while also dishing out five assists, his most since recording a season-high six back on November 10 against Ithaca.
TRENDS TO WATCH
• Over his last 10 games against NEWMAC foes going back to last year's conference tournament, Amado has recorded three double-doubles is averaging 18.9 points and 7.9 rebounds on 51.8 percent shooting.
• Stoddard is averaging 14.0 points on 41.5 percent shooting in six NEWMAC games this winter and has scored in double figures four times.
• Junior
Timmy O'Toole, who ranks second in the league in offensive rebounds (2.7), has pulled down at least one in 26 of his last 27 games dating back to last January and has grabbed four or more offensive boards 12 times during this stretch.
• In four games versus Coast Guard over the last two seasons, Lauder is averaging 6.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 44.4 percent.
