Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine—The Babson College women's tennis program wrapped up the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Championships with a pair of players participating in singles on Sunday at Bowdoin College.
Senior
Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), who was seeded second in the A singles draw, advanced to the tournament final for the second time in her career with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 victory over third-seeded Fiona Lee of MIT in the semifinals. She was unable to claim her second title in three seasons though, falling 6-3, 6-3 to Jackie Soloveychick of Wesleyan in the championship match.
By virtue of reaching the singles final, Soffer earned one of 16 spots in the singles bracket at the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga., on October 10-13. It will be her second appearance in singles and third overall after qualifying for the event in doubles last season.

Grace Starcher (Morristown, N.J.) advanced to the semifinals of the B draw before suffering a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Macie Carlos of Wesleyan on Sunday morning.
Babson will return to Brunswick for the Bowdoin Invitational on October 5-6.
