SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 0-5 all-time against Saint Joseph in a series that dates back to 2021.
• The Blue Jays own three double-digit victories although the Beavers have carried a lead into halftime twice and were tied at the break in their last visit to West Hartford in 2022.
• The Green and White also rallied from 12 points down with just over five minutes to play before falling in 3OT on the road during the pandemic-shortened 2021 campaign.
LAST MEETING
• Jalen Samuels scored 17 points to lead three players in double figures as Saint Joseph defeated the Beavers, 73-64, on November 29, 2023, in Babson Park.
• Tyree Mitchell finished with 15 points and eight rebounds and Lence Altenor added 13 points and two steals for the Blue Jays, who outscored the Green and White 40-18 in the paint.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (1-1) returns to action for the first time since beating Ithaca 64-60 on the second day of the NYU Tip-Off Classic back on November 10.

Timmy Mulvey scored 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting and Amado posted a double-double and finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for the Beavers, who led by as many as 12 early in the second half against the Bombers after suffering an 86-74 loss to No. 22 NYU a day earlier.

Felix Kloman is averaging 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 blocks in two starts, Mulvey (17.5 points, 4.0 ast) is shooting 54.5 percent from the floor and Amado (13.5 pts, 11.0 reb, 5.5 ast) has scored in double figures twice to start the year.

Timmy O'Toole (7.9 pts, 8.5 reb), the Green and White returns 11 players from a team that finished 15-14 and made its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing a second consecutive NEWMAC championship.
SCOUTING THE BLUE JAYS
• Saint Joseph (1-1) has opened the season with a pair of one-possession games and is coming off a 64-63 loss to Middlebury last Saturday on the heels of a 67-65 win over Clark.
• Friedrich Feldrappe finished with 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals, while Kevin Cummings and Jakari Tertulien contributed nine points apiece for the Blue Jays, who committed just four turnovers but got outrebounded 45-29 in the loss to the Panthers.
• Feldrappe is averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals, Cummings (13.0 pts, 1.5 stl) is shooting 47.8 percent from the floor and Tyshawn Jackson is contributing 9.5 points on 53.3 percent shooting to go along with 1.5 boards in two games off the bench.
• In addition to Feldrappe and Cummings, Saint Joseph returns Lance Altenor (12.8 pts, 3.4 reb) and Jonathan Box (5.2 pts, 2.1 ast) from a team that went 25-5 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last winter.
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
• White both Kloman and Mulvey started both games at the NYU Tip-Off Class, five new players in all got key minutes in each of the first two contests for the Beavers.
• Kloman, a transfer from Brown, played all but five minutes in his first two outings for Babson and poured in a career-high 27 points in the loss to NYU.

Ryan Frauenheim scored five points against the Bombers.

Alex Stoddard, a Wellesley, Mass., native who transferred from Williams, scored five points and hauled in six rebounds in the win over Ithaca.
POLL POSITION
• The two-time defending conference champion Beavers earned five first-place votes and finished atop the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll back in October.
• Babson finished with 61 points, two ahead last year's regular season champs Clark, while WPI came in third with 49 points.
DEAN OF NEWMAC COACHES
• Head coach
Stephen Brennan enters his 30th season as head coach at Babson with 481 wins, which ranks first among NEWMAC coaches and ninth among active Division III head coaches.
• The 2017 NABC Coach of the Year, Brennan has guided the Beavers to eight NCAA Tournament appearances over the last 11 years, which includes claiming the program's first national title in 2017 after reaching the 2015 national semifinals.
BEAVER BITES
• Babson held Ithaca to 1-of-17 shooting (5.9 percent) from beyond the arc in its win on November 10.
• The Beavers have assisted on 67.3 percent of their made field goals over the first two games.
• The Green and White is shooting 52.9 percent on two-point field goal attempts and has committed a turnover on just 15.6 percent of its possessions over its first two outings.
• Babson has attempted 10 fewer free throws (29) than its opponents have made (39) in two games to start the year.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 12-6 since the start of last season when holding their opponents below 70 points.
• Babson has pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive games going back to January 20 of last season.
