Women's Tennis at the ITA Cup

WHAT TO KNOW
•    Babson senior Olivia Soffer will make her third consecutive appearance at the ITA Cup beginning on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga. 
•    Soffer is one of 16 players from 10 regions that earned automatic qualification into the singles draw at the ITA Cup, with all players being guaranteed at least three matches. 

HOW SHE GOT HERE
•    Soffer advanced to the ITA Cup by reaching the championship match of the singles draw at the ITA New England Championships back in late September. 
•    She recorded four consecutive straight-set victories to reach the semifinals and defeated Fiona Lee of MIT, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, to reach the final before falling to Jackie Solobeychick of Wesleyan, 6-3, 6-3. 

THE DRAW
•    Soffer is seeded fourth in the 16-player singles bracket and will meet Clara Zou from the University of Chicago in Thursday morning's first round. 
•    The winner will advance to face either Victoria Wang of NYU or Marissa Markey of Pomona-Pitzer on Friday in the quarterfinals. 
•    The semifinals are set for Saturday morning with the winners advancing to Sunday morning's final. 

SUCCESS IN THE PEACH STATE
•    Soffer became the first Babson player to qualify for the ITA Cup back in 2022 and advanced to the semifinals of the singles draw. 
•    Last October, Soffer and junior Matia Cristiani advanced to the doubles finals before falling to Sylwia Mikos and Shianna Guo of Chicago in the final. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    A three-time All-American in singles and two-time All-America selection in doubles, Soffer ranks first in Babson history in singles wins (80), doubles wins (75) and combined victories (155).
