ROME, Ga.—Babson College senior Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) picked up her first win of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup defeating Marissa Markey of Pomona-Pitzer College in a consolation match in three sets on Friday at the Rome Tennis Center. 

Soffer was a 7-5, 2-6, 6-2 winner over Markey, who advanced to the ITA West singles championship to earn her spot at the ITA Cup. A 2022 semifinalist at the ITA Cup, Soffer is now 3-2 all-time in singles at the event. 

The Beavers' standout will conclude the event and the fall portion of the team's schedule on Saturday when she faces Cassidy Binder of Pacific University at 11 a.m.
