SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (6-7, 2-2 NEWMAC) snapped a four-game skid with a gritty 64-57 win over MIT on Saturday.
• Amado scored 16 of his game-high 23 points in the second half and junior
Aidan Horan added season highs of 13 points and six rebounds for the Beavers, who outscored the Engineers 12-4 over the final 2:54.
• Amado (21.3 pts, 6.9 reb, 2.5 ast) leads the NEWMAC in scoring and has reached double figures in 16 straight games going back to last year, graduate student

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
• Springfield (4-8, 1-2 NEWMAC) has dropped three of its last four games and is coming off a 73-57 loss at Salve Regina on Saturday.
• Joe Hoch scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and added nine rebounds and three steals, while John Paulino added 15 points and five assists for the Pride, which shot just 30 percent and trailed by as many as 21 in the second half.
• Gary Bess (11.5 pts, 5.6 reb) has scored in double figures in three of the last four games, Hoch (9.8 pts, 4.3 reb) is shooting 48.9 percent on the year and Curtiss Blische (9.1 pts, 6.8 reb) is grabbing 2.5 offensive rebounds per contest.

• After playing a then-career-high 14 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Clark, first-year
Jared Flaks contributed a season-best nine points on 3-of-5 shooting in 18 minutes in Saturday's win over MIT.
• He did all of his scoring in the first half and added three rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in the victory.
WELCOME BACK
• Junior
Parker Mason, who has battled injuries over the last two seasons, saw his first action in nearly 13 months on Wednesday night against Clark.
• Mason, who last played against Brandeis on December 8, 2022, went 0-of-1 from the floor with two rebounds and one blocked shot in four minutes in the loss to the Cougars and grabbed one rebound in Saturday's victory over MIT.
FIRING FROM DEEP
• Babson ranks second in the NEWMAC and 41st in Division III attempting 26.9 three-point field goals per game.
• Despite shooting 32 percent, the Beavers have been outscored just one in 13 games from beyond the arc and are averaging 8.6 triples per contest.
GETTING TO THE LINE
• After getting outscored at the charity stripe in 10 of its first 11 outings, Babson has attempted 43 free throws over the last two games.
• The Beavers went 29-of-43 (67.4 percent) against Clark and MIT, which accounted for 25 percent of their scoring in the two games.
