WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson and Wheaton open their New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) slates on Sunday in Norton, Mass.
• The Beavers were picked to finish third in the NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll while Wheaton was voted sixth in the 12-team league.
SERIES HISTORY
• Babson has a 14-28-9 record against Wheaton in the career series that dates back to 1981.
• The two teams have split the last eight games (4-4) dating back to 2015 after five consecutive ties from 2011-15.
• The six meetings between the two schools from 2016-21 were all decided by one goal, including overtime verdicts in 2019 and 2021, before Babson earned a two-goal victory last season.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (1-2-1) split a pair of one-goal games last weekend at the Manchester Women's College Cup in Manchester, Vermont, defeating St. Lawrence 1-0 on Saturday before suffering a 2-1 last-minute loss to No. 12 Williams on Sunday.

Olivia Maltbie scored the only goal of the match on a penalty kick in the win over St. Lawrence, and Greeley tallied the lone Beaver goal against Williams. First-year keeper
Callahan Cottone made nine saves in each game on the weekend, posting her first career-shutout against St. Lawrence.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (2-2-1) is coming off a 4-0 shutout of Bridgewater State on Wednesday in the third of five consecutive home games, a contest was weather-delayed twice, first by a tornado warning and later by a lightning strike.
• Sophomore Kate Wickenheisser and junior Lily Brown gave the Lyons all the goals they would need, and sophomore Julia Sternat and first-year Mackenna Reynolds tacked on their first career goals. Bandrup played the first 72 minutes in goal before giving way to first-year Leo Julien, with both keepers making five saves.
• Wickenheisser (5-0-10) tallied a hat trick in a win over Roger Williams and tops the NEWMAC in goals and points. Brown (2-0-4) is a multi0-goal scorer for the Lyons and additional offense has come from Sternat (1-2-4), Reynolds (1-1-3) and Racquel Garces (0-2-2).
• Bandrup (1.25 GAA, .854 sv pct) has started in goal in all five Wheaton games and leads the NEWMAC with 35 saves.
NEWMAC HISTORY
• Babson is 12-3-5 in its last 20 games against NEWMAC foes dating back to 2021, including the post-season.
• The Beavers are 48-4-3 when scoring at least two goals in NEWMAC games dating back to Sept. 18, 2012.
• Wheaton won or shared 11 consecutive NEWMAC regular season crowns from 1999-2009 and captured seven tournament titles from 2000-07. Babson is seeking its first conference championship since 1998.
