SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 60-27 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 season.
• The Beavers have won 20 of their last 21 games against the Bears, which includes 15 victories by double digits.

LAST MEETING
• Senior Andrew Kirkpatrick led four players in double figures with 20 points as Babson defeated Coast Guard, 79-60, on January 21 in New London, Conn.
• Sophomore Aidan Horan scored 14 points and graduate student Ryan Cibull and first-year Timmy O'Toole finished with 12 points apiece for the Beavers, who knocked down a season-high 15 three-pointers while shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc.
• First-year Trevor Parks scored 12 points and sophomore Declan Rooney added 11 for the Bears, who made just three field goals over the first 10 minutes of the contest.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (15-8, 8-4 NEWMAC) has won seven of its last eight games and is coming off a 66-62 come-from-behind victory at Clark on Saturday.
• Sophomore Nate Amado scored 19 points, Kirkpatrick finished with 18 and Cibull chipped in with 14 points and hit the go-ahead three-pointer with just over three minutes to play for the Beavers, who trailed by as many as 11 in the first half.
• Amado (17.9 pts, 7.1 reb) ranks fifth in the NEWMAC in scoring and rebounding, Kirkpatrick (14.8 pts, 2.8 ast) is shooting 51.2 percent over the last three games and Cibull (10.6 pts, 2.9 ast) is third in the league connecting on 44 percent of his three-point attempts.
• The Green and White ranks second in conference play allowing just 0.88 points per possession.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (4-19, 2-10 NEWMAC) has dropped eight straight games after suffering a 69-62 loss to 20th-ranked WPI on Saturday.
• Rooney scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting for the Bears, who held a one-point lead with 4:31 to play before the Engineers closed the game with a 13-5 run.
• Rooney (13.8 pts, 3.5 reb, 2.7 ast) has scored in double figures in 13 consecutive games, first-year Mitch Shettles (9.1 pts, 3.6 reb) is shooting 43.8 percent on the year and Parks is averaging 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds.
• Coast Guard, which is eliminated from NEWMAC Tournament contention, has allowed at least 70 points in seven of its last eight outings.
DIFFERENT ON DEFENSE
• After giving up 1.03 points per possession and allowing its 11 non-conference opponents to shoot 36.2 percent from beyond the arc, Babson has clamped down defensively in conference play.
• In addition to ranking second in both scoring defense (61.3) and defensive efficiency (0.88 PPP), the Beavers are holding foes to just 32 percent from beyond the arc and 7.9 offensive rebounds in 12 NEWMAC outings.
• Overall, Babson ranks 35th in Division III in defensive efficiency allowing 89.6 points per 100 possessions according to Matt Snyder.
TRIPLE THREAT
• Over the last eight contests, the trio of Kirkpatrick (13-of-24), Cibull (21-of-44) and senior Aaron Gao (9-of-22) have combined to shoot 53.8 percent from three-point range.
• The Beavers have made at least seven treys in six outings and have outscored their opponents by nearly 14 points per game from beyond the arc during this stretch.
FIGHTING FOR SEEDING
• After shaking off a 1-3 start to league play, the Beavers are currently tied for third place alongside Wheaton (8-4) entering the final week of the regular season.
• Babson and the Lyons are both a game behind second-place Emerson (9-3), while WPI (11-1) needs just one win from its final two games to lock up the top seed in next week's tournament.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 6-2 this winter at home and have allowed over 65 points just once this season inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Babson is 3-1 this year and have won six of eight games decided by five points or less going back to the start of last season.
