WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's basketball team will make its third trip to the Midwest over the last calendar year when it travels to Oshkosh, Wis., to compete in the BSN Classic on December 29-30.
• The Beavers will face Wisconsin-Stout on Friday night and Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday inside Oshkosh Arena, which is home to the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (5-4) wrapped up the opening semester with a 61-49 loss to then-17th-ranked WPI on December 9.
• Graduate student
Steph Baxter finished with 16 points and five assists and junior

Timmy O'Toole added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Beavers, who shot a season-low 34 percent.

Nate Amado (21.0 pts, 6.1 reb, 2.9 ast) has scored in double figures in each of his last 12 starts, Baxter (20.3 pts, 3.8 ast, 3.6 reb) is shooting 50.4 percent from the floor and O'Toole (8.6 pts, 8.3 reb, 2.0 stl) leads the team in rebounding, steals and blocked shots.
• The Green and White, which ranks in the top 50 nationally in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency, is averaging 75.8 points and outscoring its foes by 0.24 points per possession.
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
• Wisconsin-Stout (4-5) had its two-game winning streak snapped in a 100-75 loss to Loras back on December 12.
• George Scharlau scored 17 points and Brody Fox added 14 points for the Blue Devils, who shot 46 percent from the floor but went just 6-of-23 from beyond the arc in the loss.
• Fox (27.2 pts, 5.3 reb) is shooting 54.3 percent from the floor and leads Division III in scoring, Aidan Shore (13.7 pts, 6.4 reb) has two double-doubles and is shooting 54.5 percent on the year, and Scharlau (12.7 pts, 7.1 reb) has scored in double figures in four straight outings.
• Wisconsin-Stout ranks 15th in Division III averaging 87.8 points and is 18th nationally shooting 48.9 percent from the floor.
SCOUTING THE TITANS
• Wisconsin-Oshkosh (6-3) has dropped two of its last three games after suffering a 59-57 loss to St. Norbert on December 20.
• Reed Gunnink and Carter Thomas both scored 12 points for the Titans, who shot just 26.7 percent in the first half and trailed by as many as 18 with just over 15 minutes to go in the contest.
• Will Mahoney (14.4 pts, 5.2 reb, 2.0 ast) leads the team in scoring and assists, Quinn Steckbauer (13.1 pts, 2.0 reb) is shooting 44 percent from the floor and Thomas (12.0 pts, 3.6 reb) has hit at least two three-pointers in six outings this winter and is shooting 41.2 percent from distance.
• Wisconsin-Oshkosh is averaging 73.1 points and ranks 24th in three-pointers per game (9.7) and 25th in three-point field goal percentage (38.2).
DYNAMIC DUO
• Amado (36th) and Baxter (44th) are both ranked among the top 50 in Division III in scoring making the Beavers are one of two teams in Division III with multiple players averaging better than 20 points per game.
• Kai Te Huki (24.7 points) and Gabe Garcia (22.3) both rank in the top 20 nationally in scoring for Grinnell, which averages 114.7 points per game.
HEAVY ON THE WIAC
• After facing just one WIAC opponent in the 90-plus year history of the program, Babson will face three foes from the league this winter.
• The Beavers defeated Wisconsin-Superior, which is no longer a WIAC member in basketball back in 2003 and beat Wisconsin-Eau Claire 78-71 in the consolation game of the Lopata Classic in St. Louis back in November.
STEPPING UP HIS SCORING
• Horan, who made his first start of the season at WPI on December 9, has finished in double figures in back-to-back games and has provided at least eight points in four straight outings.
• He is averaging 9.3 points while shooting 50 percent from three-point range (8-of-16) during this stretch.
CLEANING THE GLASS
• O'Toole ranks 57th in Division III grabbing 3.3 offensive rebounds per game and has finished with at least two offensive boards in eight of nine games this season.
• O'Toole also has at least one offensive rebound in each of his 36 career games over the last two seasons.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Sophomore
Tyler Lauder has finished with at least four rebounds in every game this winter.
• Senior
John Gorgol has made at least one three-pointer in seven straight contests, while sophomore
Jeremiah Paul has a triple in each of his last six outings.
• O'Toole has made a three-pointer in eight straight contests and has blocked two shots in each of his last four games.
• Baxter is 13-of-13 at the free throw line over his last four outings and has made 14 straight at the charity stripe dating back to November 22, and also has at least one steal in six consecutive games.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 2-0 when shooting better than 50 percent and 5-1 this season when shooting at least 40 percent from the floor.
• Babson has attempted more three-pointers than its foes in eight of nine games while outscoring them by over 12 points per game from beyond the arc.
• The Green and White is 5-0 this winter and 30-2 over the last three seasons when outrebounding its foes.
• The Beavers are 3-1 on the year and 19-4 since the start of last season when holding opponents below 70 points.
