SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 17-13 all-time against Bates in a series that dates all the way back to 1960.
• The Beavers have won four straight and five of their last six against the Bobcats since 2016.
• Babson's last five wins against Bates (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) have all been by double digits, while its last three losses in the series (2014, 2015, 2017) has each been by five points or less.

Andrew Kirkpatrick '23 scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the second half and the Beavers closed the game with a 24-8 run to defeat Bates, 70-59, on December 1, 2022, in Babson Park.

Mark Woolhouse added nine points for Babson, which shot 46.7 percent in the second half.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (3-2) has won two straight games after defeating Brandeis, 78-65, on Wednesday afternoon.
• Amado (26 points, 10 rebounds) and sophomore
Timmy O'Toole (17 points, 15 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles and Baxter finished with 19 points for the Beavers, who led by as many as 23 late in the second half.
• Amado (22.6 pts, 6.8 reb, 3.0 ast) has three games with 20 or more points, Baxter (21.4 pts, 3.5 ast) is shooting 49.4 percent from the floor and O'Toole is averaging 8.2 points to go along with team highs of 10.4 rebound and 2.8 steals.
• The Green and White is shooting 45.4 percent and is averaging 9.0 steals over its first five contests.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
• Bates (1-4) snapped a four-game skid and picked up its first win of the season by defeating Southern Maine, 78-68, on Tuesday night.
• Elliott Cravitz led four players in double figures with 17 points, Peter Psyhogeos finished with 15 points and eight rebounds and Simon McCormick added 14 points and a game-high seven assists for the Bobcats, who shot 50 percent in the second half.
• Psyhogeos (11.4 pts, 5.0 reb) is averaging 18.0 points over the last two games, Brady Coyne is contributing 10.5 points in two outings, McCormick (10.0 pts, 3.4 ast, 2.6 steals) leads the team in assists and steals and Marc Begin II is averaging 10.0 points and 4.5 boards.
• Bates has allowed its first five opponents to shoot 46.5 percent and has been outrebounded in four of its first five games.
OLD FRIENDS ON THE OTHER SIDE
• Sunday marks the return to Lewiston for Baxter, who was a four-year member of the Bates men's basketball squad from 2018-23.
• He scored 1,045 in just three seasons for the Bobcats and averaged a career-high 20.4 points during the 2021-22 campaign on the way to earning All-NESCAC second-team honors.
• Babson head coach
Stephen Brennan also was a four-year letterwinner at Bates and spent one a season as an assistant coach for the Bobcats after graduating in 1987.
BAXTER COLLECTS CONFERENCE AND NATIONAL HONORS
• After averaging 33.5 points on 51 percent shooting to go along with 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds, Baxter was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on Tuesday.
• In addition to Saturday's 25-point effort against Wisconsin-Eau Claire, he scored a career-high 40 points in an OT loss to No. 22 WashU on Friday night was selected as the Lopata Classic MVP.
• His 65 points over two games set a new tournament scoring record surpassing the mark of 60 points previously held by Mark Giovino '98, who earned Lopata Classic MVP honors in 1997.
STUFFING THE STAT SHEET
• O'Toole has pulled down eight or more rebounds in each of Babson's first five games, which includes grabbing at least four offensive boards in four of the Beavers' first five contests.
• He also has logged at least two steals in each of the first five games and is shooting 54.8 percent from the floor.
• O'Toole has at least one offensive rebound in each of his 32 career games and has at least one steal in 28 of 32 contests.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers' three games away from home this season have all been decided by seven points or fewer.
