Women's Soccer Visits Mount Holyoke on Saturday, Returns Home to Face Middlebury Sunday

WHAT TO KNOW

•    Babson will play its third straight road game and looks to stay unbeaten in NEWMAC play when it travels to Mount Holyoke on Saturday before returning home to face Middlebury in its non-conference finale on Sunday afternoon. 

SERIES HISTORY
vs. Mount Holyoke

•    Babson is 30-10-1 all-time against the Lyons in a series that dates back to 1982. 
•    The Beavers have won six consecutive matches and are unbeaten in 10 straight contests (9-0-1) versus Mount Holyoke going back to 2013. 
•    The Green and White has outscored the Lyons 25-2 during its current six-game winning streak.
•    Babson is 12-1-1 in its last 14 trips to South Hadley with the lone loss coming in 2012. 

vs. Middlebury
•    Babson and the Panthers will meet for the first time on Sunday. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (5-3-2, 3-0-1 NEWMAC) remained unbeaten in league play by rallying for defeat WPI, 3-2, on Wednesday night in Worcester. 
•    Graduate student Morgan Krauss tied the game in the 68th minute and senior Natalie Knauf scored the go-ahead goal in the 81st minute for the Beavers, who got six saves from first-year goalkeeper Callahan Cottone
•    Junior Jordyn Ferrantino (5-2-12) is tied for second in the conference in both goals and points, Krauss (4-3-11) ranks fifth in the league in scoring and senior Olivia Maltbie (2-1-5) leads the team with a pair of game-winning goals. 
•    Cottone has started all 10 games and owns a 1.44 goals against average to go along with a .803 save percentage and four shutouts. 

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Mount Holyoke (2-5-2, 0-4-0 NEWMAC) is winless over its last seven matches and is coming off a 2-1 loss at Wellesley on Wednesday. 
•    Charlotte Moynihan scored in the 60th minute and Clarrisa Govea made five saves for the Lyons, who were outshot 23-9 by the Blue. 
•    Anna Kennedy (2-3-7) has converted a pair of penalty kicks and leads the team in assists, Ada Siepmann (3-0-6) has one game-winning goal and both Moynihan and Sage Hudson have scored twice on the year. 
•    Govea and Evie Krieg have combined to post a 2.22 goals against average and a .701 save percentage to go along with a pair of clean sheets this fall. 

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
•    Middlebury (4-2-3) has earned a result in two straight games and is coming off a 0-0 draw with Wesleyan last Saturday.
•    Carolyn Kelly made four saves and recorded her first shutout of the season for the Panthers, who finished with a decided 25-8 edge in shots. 
•    Joely Virzi (4-3-11) scored four times over Middlebury's first six games, Emma Binks (2-2-6) has one game-winning goal and the duo of Abby Ward and Gigi Day have both tallied twice on the year. 
•    The trio of Kelley, Livia Davidson and Sydney Poppinga have each made three starts while combining to post a 0.78 goals against average and a .788 save percentage to go along with five clean sheets.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS
•    Excluding the WPI own goal in Wednesday's victory, either Ferrantino or Krauss has had a hand in all six of Babson's markers over the last three matches. 
•    Ferrantino enters the weekend with a three-game points streak that includes at least one goal in two of her last three outings, while Krauss has produced at least one point in five of the last six matches. 
•    Knauf, who notched her first goal of the year on Wednesday, also has points in two straight contests. 

EARNING POINTS IN CONFERENCE PLAY
•    Going back to last year, the Beavers are unbeaten in their last nine NEWMAC regular season matches going 8-0-1. 
•    The Green and White has outscored its foes 23-7 during this stretch while recording five shutouts. 

HONORING EVAN
•     The Green and White will host its 10th annual EvvGirl Pink Game on Sunday in honor of Evan Bard, sister of 2016 alumna Leisl Bard. Evan, whose favorite color was pink, lost her life in a drunk driving car crash in May 2013. Evan was a nursing student and cheerleader at Curry College, where she was studying to become a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse. To honor Evan's memory, the EvvGirl Foundation is funding the NICU Webcam Project and Seize the Keys Drunk Driving Educational Program.
•     The EvvGirl Foundation was formed to generate smiles and happiness by continuing Evan Bard's passions in nursing specifically for NICUs, pediatrics and maternity, as well as in early childhood education and cheerleading. Donations to the foundation can be made through the EvvGirl website.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 10-2-4 in their last 16 road games going back to 2021 with the lone losses coming last year at MIT and last Sunday at Bowdoin.
•    The Green and White has scored the opening goal in nine of 10 matches this season.
•    Babson is 3-1-1 this fall and 24-2-1 when scoring two or more goals since 2021.
•    The Beavers are unbeaten in 20 straight matches (18-0-2) when leading at halftime, a streak that extends back to the 2021 campaign.
