• Babson is 15-11-5 all-time against WPI in a series that dates back to 1995.

POSTSEASON HISTORY
• Tuesday's contest marks the second time in three seasons that Babson and WPI will meet in the quarterfinals but will be just the fourth contest all-time in the conference playoffs between the programs.
• The Engineers knocked off the Beavers in penalty kicks following a 0-0 draw in the 2021 quarterfinals and were victorious in a 2019 semifinal matchup, while the Green and White won a 1997 NEW 8 quarterfinal contest between the teams.

Natalie Knauf scored the go-ahead goal in the 81st minute to help Babson defeat WPI, 3-2, on October 4 in Worcester, Mass.

• Second-seeded Babson (10-5-3) is unbeaten over its last five matches and closed the regular season with a 4-0 victory over Clark on Saturday.

• Ferrantino (10-2-22) is second in the league in goals and tied for second in points, Krauss (5-6-16) is tied for second in the NEWMAC in assists and ranks fifth in points, and junior
Olivia Maltbie (5-1-11) is tied for the conference lead with five game-winning goals.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• Seventh-seeded WPI (7-7-4) wrapped up the regular season with its first win since September 27, defeating Mount Holyoke 3-0 on Saturday.
• Toolin scored in the 19th minute, Lily Guiliano had two goals and Lottie McLeod recorded two assists for the Engineers, who got one save from Lili Hellerman.
• Bagby leads the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points, McLeod (2-5-9) is fifth in the league in assists and Maeve Stekley (3-2-8) is one of four players on the squad with three goals this fall.
• Hellerman (6-6-4) has started 16 of 18 games and owns a 1.13 goals against average and a .783 save percentage to go along with six shutouts.
FINISHING TOUCH
• Ferrantino's tally on Saturday helped her become the first Babson player to score at least 10 goals since 2021 when Amy Festa '13 finished with 12 markers.
• Her 22 points are also the most by a Babson player since 2012.
PRODUCING AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
• Krauss has a goal in each of her last two games against WPI, while Ferrantino scored in last season's 2-1 win in addition to recording an assist in the Beavers' win back in early October.
REGIONAL IMPACT
• The Beavers, who were second, were among three NEWMAC teams listed when NCAA released its second Region II rankings last Wednesday.
• MIT, which suffered its only loss of the conference season to Babson, is ranked first in the region, while Emerson is currently fourth.
• The third and final public regional rankings will be released on Wednesday.
SPOOKY STUFF
• Tuesday's game marks the first time the Beavers will play on Halloween since defeating Clark, 3-0, in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal back in 2017.
• Overall, Babson is 6-1-0 in games played on Halloween going back to 1992, which includes a perfect 5-0 record at home.
WHEN 90 MINUTES ISN'T ENOUGH
• No overtime was played during regular season contests for the second consecutive season but all postseason matches will feature two 10-minute periods of extra time if a game is deadlocked at the end of regulation.
• If the game remains tied after both overtime sessions, a winner will be decided by penalty kicks.
