SCOUTING THE BEAVERS

Olivia Maltbie struck in the 64th minute for the Beavers, who also took advantage of an own goal early in the second half.Â
•   Ferrantino (9-2-18) is tied for the conference lead in goals and ranks second in points, graduate student
Morgan Krauss (4-5-13) is tied for third in the NEWMAC in assists and Maltbie (5-1-11) is tied for 12th in Division III with five game-winning goals.Â

Nora Ryan (3-0-0), who has started the last three matches, owns a 1.50 goals against average and a .818 save percentage in five appearances this fall.Â
SCOUTING THE PRIDE
•   Springfield (8-4-3, 6-2-1 NEWMAC) is unbeaten in two straight matches and is coming off a 2-0 win at Wellesley last Saturday.Â
•   Kayla McGrath scored a pair of first half-goals and Taryn Ryan made 12 saves for the Pride, which was outshot 24-16.Â
•   McGrath (7-1-15) ranks fourth in the league in goals and points, Jen Walker (4-3-11) has scored three times in NEWMAC play and Meredith Healy (3-5-11) is tied for third in the conference in assists.Â
•   Ryan has gone 6-4-3 in 13 starts and owns a 1.25 goals against average and a .815 save percentage to go along with five shutouts.Â
FERRANTINO EARNS CONFERENCE RECOGNITION
•   After scoring the opening goal in wins over both No. 9 MIT and Salve Regina, Ferrantino was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.Â
•   She has scored seven goals over the last nine matches and has at least one point in six of the nine contests.Â
POSTSEASON PUSH
•   Entering the final week of the regular season, the top four teams in the NEWMAC – MIT (24), Babson (22), Emerson (20) and Springfield (19) - are just separated by five points.
•   The Beavers have already clinched a home game in next Tuesday's NEWMAC quarterfinals but can finish anywhere from first to fourth depending their results against Springfield on Wednesday and against Clark on Saturday.Â

•   Maltbie has scored in each of the Beavers' three straight wins with all of the goals coming in the 63rd minute or later.Â
CONFERENCE SUCCESS
