SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 59-27 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to the 1972-73 season.

LAST MEETING
• James Welch '22 led five players in double figures with a game-high 19 points, while sophomore Nate Amado finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds to help Babson defeat Coast Guard, 85-71, on February 16, 2022, in New London, Conn.
• Mitchell Kirsch M'22 added 16 points, Spencer Cline M'22 scored 12 and senior Andrew Kirkpatrick chipped in with 10 points off the bench for the Beavers, who knocked down 14 three-pointers in the win.
• Sophomore Cameron Brown posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds and Madison Maloney and sophomore Declan Rooney both scored 14 points lead the Bears, who led by as many as nine in the first half.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-7, 2-3 NEWMAC) trailed by as many as 17 points before rallying for a 62-52 OT win at MIT on Wednesday night.
• Kirkpatrick scored 16 points, graduate student Ryan Cibull finished with 11 points and sophomore David Cross added all 10 of his points in the second half and overtime for the Beavers, who outscored the Engineers 11-1 in the extra session.
• Amado (20.7 pts, 7.5 reb) has missed six consecutive games, Kirkpatrick (15.1 pts, 3.1 ast) has scored in double figures in 12 straight games and Cibull (8.7 pts, 2.5 ast) is shooting 45.1 percent from the floor.
• The Green and White ranks second in both defensive efficiency (0.91 points/possession) and forced turnovers (15.8) in NEWMAC play.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (4-12, 2-3 NEWMAC) has dropped three of its last four games and is coming off an 85-73 loss at Springfield on Wednesday.
• Rooney scored 16 points, sophomore Abe Countryman added 15 and first-year Elijah Parent put up 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting for the Bears, who led by six at the half but finished just 5-of-20 (25 percent) from three-point range.
• Rooney (13.3 pts, 3.5 reb, 2.4 ast) is averaging 19.0 points in conference play, first-year Mitch Shettles (9.0 pts, 3.3 reb), who missed Wednesday's loss, has scored in double figures six times, and Brown (8.9 pts, 6.1 reb) is shooting 57.6 percent over the last four games.
• Coast Guard has had four of its first five NEWMAC games decided by six points or less.
COMEBACK KIDS
• Babson, which trailed by as many as 17 late in the first half and was down 35-19 at halftime, overcame its largest deficit since the 2019-20 campaign to snap a two-game losing streak at MIT on Wednesday.
• The Beavers trailed Coast Guard 49-31 at halftime on January 15, 2020, before putting up 55 second-half points and outlasting the Bears 94-92 in OT.
SHUT DOWN BOYS
• After allowing MIT to shoot 66.7 percent (14-of-21) in the first half on Wednesday night, the Beavers held the Engineers to just 3-of-23 (13 percent) following halftime.
• The Green and White, which also forced 27 turnovers in the game, held the Engineers to just one made field goal over the final 12:34 of regulation and gave up just one free throw to the hosts in OT.
STUFFING THE STAT SHEET
• First-years Tyler Lauder and Timmy O'Toole pulled down 21 of Babson's 36 rebounds in Wednesday's win at MIT and played major roles in the second-half comeback.
• Lauder played a career-high 36 minutes and finished with a season-high nine points to go along with six rebounds and three blocks, while O'Toole grabbed a career-high 15 boards, including six on the offensive end, to go along with six points and a career-best six steals.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 6-2 this season when registering at least 10 steals.
• Babson is also 6-2 this winter when hitting at least 50 percent of its two-point field goal attempts.
• The Beavers have won 13 of 16 games over the last two seasons when forcing 16 turnovers or more.
