SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 58-25 all-time against MIT in a series that dates back to the 1978-79 campaign.
• The Beavers have won three straight games against the Engineers going back to 2020.

LAST MEETING
• Mitchell Kirsch M'21 led all players with 20 points and junior Kieran Dorney added 17 points to help the Beavers defeat MIT, 69-62, on January 19, 2022, in Babson Park.
• Sophomore Nate Amado chipped in with 10 points and Babson closed the game with an 8-0 run over the final 3:14.
• Ian Hinkley finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds and Giannis Chatziveroglou scored 11 points for the Engineers, who were held to 21 second-half points after building a 41-35 halftime lead.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (8-7, 1-3 NEWMAC) has dropped four of its last five games and is coming off a 64-56 loss to Wheaton at home on Saturday.
• Junior John Gorgol scored 12 points, senior Andrew Kirkpatrick finished with 11 and junior Stephen Watson and first-year Timmy O'Toole both added 10 points for the Beavers, who shot just 31.3 percent.
• Amado (20.7 pts, 7.5 reb) ranks second in the conference in scoring but has missed the last five games, Kirkpatrick (15.0 pts, 3.1 ast) has scored in double figures in 11 consecutive outings and graduate student Ryan Cibull (8.5 pts, 2.3 ast) is shooting 47.4 percent from the floor.
• The Green and White ranks second in defensive efficiency allowing just 0.97 points per possession against league foes.
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• MIT (3-10, 1-3 NEWMAC) has dropped eight of its last nine contests and is coming off an 87-79 loss to Springfield on Saturday.
• First-year Rome Delgado-Gonzalez finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and sophomore Kade Killeen scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures for the Engineers, who dished out 20 assists on 24 made shots.
• Delgado-Gonzalez (17.7 pts, 7.2 reb) leads the team with three double-doubles, Killeen (17.2 pts, 6.9 reb, 3.7 ast) has scored 18 or more points three times in four NEWMAC games, and first-year Tim Minicozzi (13.3 pts, 4.1 reb) has reached double figures in four of the last five games.
• MIT is averaging just 62.5 points while committing 16.3 turnovers over its first four NEMWMAC games.
HEATING UP
• Cibull, who has missed two straight contests, averaged 16.3 points while shooting 70.6 percent (24-of-34) from the floor and 7-of-10 from long range in four starts between December 8-January 4.
DEEP THREAT
• Gorgol, who has scored 12 points in back-to-back games while reaching double figures in scoring three times over the last five games, has knocked down at least one three-pointer in five straight outings.
• He is 9-of-21 (42.9 percent) from beyond the arc during this stretch.
BEAVER BITES
• Senior Aaron Gao is averaging 9.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals while shooting 42.9 percent (6-of-14) from three-point range in NEWMAC play.
• O'Toole, who is averaging a team-high 8.0 rebounds in conference play, ranks fourth in the league in offensive boards per game (2.7) and is tied for sixth in steals (1.6).
• Kirkpatrick is 26-of-29 (89.7 percent) from the free throw line over the last eight games and is shooting 88.9 percent from the charity stripe on the year.
• In addition to Watson coming off the bench to score a career-high 10 points on Saturday against Wheaton, sophomore Aidan Horan finished with career highs of seven points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists in 30 minutes in the loss to the Lyons.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 5-2 this season and has won 12 of its last 15 games going back to last year when forcing 16 or more turnovers.
• The Beavers are 5-1 this winter and 38-3 going back to the start of 2019-20 when outrebounding their opponents.
