Box Score

Beavers Improve to 7-0 for First Time in School History, Extend Unbeaten Streak to 15 Matches

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Graduate student Izzy Lynch (Niskayuna, N.Y.) and sophomore Elisa Diletizia (Canton, Mass.) recorded first-half goals to help No. 10 United Soccer Coaches/No. 12 D3soccer.com Babson College defeat Endicott College, 2-0, in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday night inside Hempstead Stadium.

With the victory, Babson improves to 7-0 for the first time in school history and is now unbeaten in 15 straight matches (10-0-5) going back to last October. Endicott is now 5-2-1 on the year with the loss.

Junior Natalie Knauf (Point Pleasant, N.J.) and sophomore Laura Lukowicz (Coventry, R.I.) each picked up an assist, while senior goalkeeper Morgan Fedosiewich (Ottawa, Ontario) made four saves to record her fourth consecutive shutout. She also moved into second place on the program's all-time list with the 20th clean sheet of her career.

The Green and White went in front on Lynch's team-leading sixth goal of the year in the 18th minute. Knauf ran onto a long ball down the right win by Lukowicz and played a centering pass across the top of the six-yard box for Lynch, who one-touched her finish off the inside of the left post for a 1-0 advantage.

Endicott senior goalkeeper Jacqueline Ruggiero (Dedham, Mass.) came charging off her line to push away Babson sophomore Jordyn Ferrantino's (Millis, Mass.) bid and was able to get up and backtrack to catch Lynch's attempt to chip the rebound over her head in the 22nd minute. She also made a diving stop on Beavers' first-year Izzy DeMatos (Holmdel, N.J.), who ran onto a long free kick into the box in the 28th minute.

Babson doubled its lead just over 10 minutes from halftime when Diletzia tracked down a long ball over the Gulls' back line from Lukowicz and hit a looping chip into the upper left corner from 30 yards for her third marker of the year.

Fedosiewich made three of her four saves in the second half for the Beavers, while Ruggiero recorded five of her six saves in the opening 45 minutes for Endicott.

The Green and White finished with a 16-8 edge in shots and each team attempted one corner kick.

Both teams return to action on Saturday at 12 p.m. as Babson travels to Coast Guard, while Endicott visits Suffolk.
