SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 16-13 all-time against Bates in a series that dates back to 1960.
• The Beavers have won three in a row and four of their last five games against the Bobcats since 2016.
• Babson's last four wins against Bates (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021) have all been by double digits, while its last three losses in the series (2014, 2015, 2017) has each been by five points or less.
• The home team has won seven of the last nine matchups between the teams.

LAST MEETING
Spencer Cline M'22 poured in a career-high 31 points to pace four players in double figures as the Beavers defeated Bates, 82-71, on November 20, 2021, in Babson Park.
Colin Bradanese '22 finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Kieran Dorney scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and junior John Gorgol added 10 points and three assists for Babson, which opened the game with a 22-4 run.
• Senior Stephon Baxter scored 16 of his team-high 26 points in the second half for the Bobcats, who outscored the Beavers 38-16 in the paint and got as close as two with less than 10 minutes to play.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (4-3) is looking to rebound from an 82-74 loss at Bowdoin on Sunday afternoon.
• Sophomore Nate Amado scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting, senior Andrew Kirkpatrick finished with 16 points and sophomore Parker Mason added 12 points for the Beavers, who led by as many as 12 early in the second half.
• Amado (23.9 pts, 8.0 reb) is shooting 50.8 percent and ranks 21st in Division III in scoring, Kirkpatrick (13.9 pts, 3.7 ast, 2.1 stl) has reached double figures in scoring in five of seven contests, and Mason is contributing 7.1 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 35.7 percent from beyond the arc.
• The Green and White is averaging 13.3 offensive rebounds per game and is forcing 16.3 turnovers per outing.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
• Bates (3-2) has won two straight games after defeating Husson, 82-73, on Tuesday night.
• Baxter scored 28 points on 12-of-21 shooting and Jahmir Primer added 15 points for the Bobcats, who shot a season-best 56.1 percent and led by as many as 16 in the second half.
• Baxter (18.2 pts, 4.4 reb, 3.2 ast) has scored in double figures 13 times over the last 15 games going back to last year, Primer (13.6 pts, 5.4 reb, 3.0 ast) is shooting 49.1 percent and Simon McCormick is contributing 8.6 points while shooting at a 41.7 percent clip from beyond the arc.
• Bates is holding opponents to 38.6 percent shooting and forcing 17.0 turnovers over its first five contests. 

GETTING BUCKETS
• Amado, who was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, is one of 15 players in Division III averaging at least 23.5 points and shooting better than 50 percent from the floor entering the week.
• He has scored at least 20 points in each of the Beavers' first seven games, which marks the longest run by a Babson player since 2017 when Joey Flannery '17 finished his career with 10 straight games 20 or more points as the program claimed its first national championship.
• Amado's 167 points are tied with Flannery's total from 2014-15 for the most scored by a Babson player over the first seven games of the year in the last decade.

SUCCESS AGAINST THE NESCAC
• Going back to 2016, the Beavers are 17-6 overall against NESCAC foes, which includes a perfect 11-0 mark inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Babson's last loss at home against a NESCAC opponent was a 103-96 2OT setback against Amherst on December 10, 2015.

BEAVER BITES
• Kirkpatrick (15) and first-year Timmy O'Toole (14) lead the team in steals and have registered at least one in each of the first seven games.
• Over the last four games, sophomore David Cross is averaging 6.0 points and is 6-of-11 (54.5 percent) from three-point range.
• Amado has knocked down at least one three-pointer in six consecutive games.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson has hauled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games dating back to the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
• The Beavers are 2-0 this season and 13-3 going back to the start of last year inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Babson is 3-0 this year and 31-4 since 2018-19 when forcing at least 16 turnovers.
• The Green and White is 3-0 this season and 36-2 since 2019-20 when outrebounding its opponents.
