SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 17-24 all-time against Amherst in a series that dates back to the 1977-78 campaign.
• The Beavers have won four straight against the Mammoths since 2018, which includes a pair of double-digit victories on the road.
• Babson has won its last two games over Amherst at home (2018, 2020) by a total of just six points.

LAST MEETING
• Sophomore Nate Amado led three players in double figures with 17 points as Babson handed the then-20th-ranked Mammoths their first loss of the season, 70-59, on December 31, 2021, in Amherst, Mass.
Kieran Dorney added 14 points and Spencer Cline M'22 scored 12 points off the bench for the Bevers, who closed the game with a 24-10 run over the final 8:21.
• Garrett Day knocked down seven three-pointers and poured in a career-high 35 points for Amherst, which shot just 29.7 percent in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (3-2) snapped a two-game skid with an 89-59 rout of Salem State in the New England Big 4 Challenge consolation game on Sunday afternoon.
• Amado and senior Andrew Kirkpatrick scored 20 points apiece and seven different players finished with at least five points for the Beavers, who outscored the Vikings 46-23 in the second half.
• Amado (25.0 pts, 8.8 reb) ranks 16th in Division III in scoring and is shooting 49.5 percent, Kirkpatrick (12.6 pts, 4.4 ast) is shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and first-year Timmy O'Toole is contributing 8.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals.
• The Green and White is averaging 74.8 points and 10.8 steals while turning its opponents over nearly 18 times per game.

SCOUTING THE MAMMOTHS
• Amherst (2-1) rebounded form its first loss with a 65-64 win over Marymount at the Marymount Invitational on Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Va.
• Sophomore Canin Reynolds scored 17 points and hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 0:04 remaining and classmate Noah Helmke added 15 points for the Mammoths, who finished with a 46-29 rebounding edge.
• Reynolds leads a balanced attack averaging 10.7 points, Sophomore Bobby Sommers (9.7 pts, 3.0 reb) is shooting 68.8 percent and Helmke is contributing 9.5 points and a team-high 6.0 rebounds.
• Amherst, which has had each of its first three games decided by five points or less, ranks fifth in Division III with a +16.3 rebounding margin.

PRETTY GOOD COMPANY
• Babson head coach Stephen Brennan earned the 450th victory of his career on Sunday against Salem State and ranks 15th among active Division III coaches in wins.
• He is one of 12 active Division III coaches with at least 450 wins and a .600 winning percentage and one of just two along with Dave Macedo of Virginia Wesleyan that owns a national championship.

WHAT'S YOUR 20
• Amado is the first Babson player to score at least 20 points in five consecutive games since 2017 when Joey Flannery '17 finished his storied career with 10 straight outings of 20 or more points on the way to leading the Beavers to their first Division III national championship.
• He scored a career-high 31 points in Saturday's loss to Tufts and averaged 25.5 points on 62.5 percent shooting in two games over the weekend at the Big 4 Challenge.

THREE AT A TIME
• Kirkpatrick went 4-of-5 and senior Aaron Gao and sophomores David Cross and Parker Mason all knocked down two apiece as the Beavers drained a season-high 14 three-pointers in Sunday's win over Salem State.
• Babson has made at least eight triples in each of its last four games and is shooting 39.3 percent from beyond the arc during this stretch.

BEAVER BITES
• The Green and White matched its season high with 16 steals on Sunday against Salem State and ranks 44th in Division III averaging 10.8 steals over its first five games.
• Babson has grabbed 11 or more offensive rebounds in every game this season and is averaging 12.4 second-chance points.
• Kirkpatrick and O'Toole both have at least one steal in each of the Beavers' first five games.
• Mason is 8-of-18 (44.4 percent) from three-point range over the last four contests.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 2-0 this season when shooting better than 40 percent from the floor.
• The Beavers are 3-1 on the year when scoring at least 70 points.
