SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 36-39 all-time against Clark in a series that dates back to the 1934-35 season.
• The Beavers have won 12 of the last 13 games against the Cougars going back to the 2013-14 campaign.
• Clark captured the last game between the two schools in Kneller Gymnasium, 92-89 in overtime, on January 18, 2020, breaking an 11-game winning streak in the all-time series.
LAST MEETING
• All five Babson starters reached double figures and Jack Coolahan '20 scored a game-high 25 points to help the 20th-ranked Beavers defeat Clark, 105-70, on February 8, 2020, inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Coolahan went 9-of-14 from the floor, which included four three-pointers, to go along with three rebounds and three steals. Junior Andrew Kirkpatrick scored 18 points, Andrew Jaworski '21 scored 15 points to go along with five boards, Crew Ainge '21 contributed 13 points, nine assists and seven boards, and senior Colin Bradanese logged 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
• Grad student Tyler Davern posted 24 points and nine boards, classmate Biko Gayman turned in 14 points to go along with eight rebounds, and junior Charles Stevens '21 chipped in with 10 points to round out the double-figure scorers for the Cougars in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (12-5, 5-1 NEWMAC) has won three games in a row and six of its last seven games, including an 89-72 NEWMAC victory over Coast Guard on Saturday inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Bradanese scored a game-high 21 points and first-year Nate Amado posted his third double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
• Bradanese made 10-of-14 from the floor and Amado converted 7-of-9 while sophomore Kieran Dorney finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 19 points and nine boards, knocking down four 3-pointers. First-year Rob Crouch added 11 points off the bench and graduate student Spencer Cline made three shots from beyond the arc to finish with nine points.
• The Beavers shot 52.2 percent from the field and 41.7 from three-point range, making more than half of their shots for the third time in their last five games.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Clark (14-3, 3-3 NEWMAC) is looking to snap a two-game skid after consecutive road losses at WPI last Wednesday (74-66) and Springfield on Saturday (82-70).
• Sophomore Bruce Saintilus led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season in the loss to Springfield. First-year Isaiah Taylor added 22 points and dished out six assists and graduate student Tyler Davern netted 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.
• Taylor led the squad with 19 points in the setback to cross-town foe WPI last Wednesday, while Saintilus added 13 points and five rebounds and first-year Kyle Jackson netted 10 points, sinking three three-pointers.
• Clark ranks fourth in Division III with 232 steals, fifth in 3-point field goal attempts (561) and eighth in3-point field goals made (174). The Cougars also rank third nationally in turnovers forced (23.2 per game) and turnover margin (+8.1).
SHARING THE BALL
• Babson has had seven different players lead the team in scoring in the past eight games – Dorney (Salem State), Amado (Amherst), Kirkpatrick (Emerson), senior James Welch (Springfield), Bradanese (WPI and Coast Guard), Cline (Wheaton), and graduate student Mitchell Kirsch (MIT).
• After leading scorers Bradanese (14.2 ppg), Amado (12.5) and Dorney (11.1), the next five Beavers are averaging between 8.5 and 6.2 points per game – Kirsch (8.5), Cline (8.4), Welch (7.4), Kirkpatrick (6.7), and Crouch (6.2).
BY THE NUMBERS
• The Beavers are 8-1 this season when leading at halftime, and 15-3 since the start of last season.
• The Green and White are 10-3 this season when shooting 40 percent or better for the field, and 18-4 since the start of last season.
• Babson has won 14 of its last 15 over the past two seasons when winning the rebounding battle, and is 28-2 with the advantage on the glass since the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
A LOOK AHEAD
• Babson will play its second straight NEWMAC road game this Saturday at Emerson, beginning at 2 p.m.
