SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 38-14 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back the 1989-90 campaign.
• The Beavers have won 20 of their last 22 games against the Lyons, which includes four straight victories after getting swept in 2018.
• Each of Babson's last nine wins over Wheaton have come by double digits.
LAST MEETING
• Andrew Jaworski '21 finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists to help 19th-ranked Babson defeat visiting Wheaton, 82-57, on February 15 inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Jack Coolahan '20 contributed 14 points, six rebounds and five steals, while Matt Pattyson '21 and senior Colin Bradanese chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Beavers.
• Alex DuBrow '20 scored 14 points and dished out a game-high seven assists to pace the Lyons, while junior Alex Carlisle added 14 points and five rebounds. Senior Robby Lowey chipped in with nine points and game-high 10 boards in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-5, 2-1 NEWMAC) is looking to bounce back from its first conference loss of the season on Wednesday, an 88-57 setback at WPI that snapped the Beaver's four-game winning streak.
• Bradanese topped the Beavers with 14 points, making 7-of-10 from the field, while first-year Nate Amado scored eight points and senior James Welch added seven points off the bench.
• Bradanese leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game and ranks second with 6.6 rebounds per contest, while Amado averages 12.4 points and a team-high 6.7 boards per outing. Sophomore Kieran Dorney contributes 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, both third-best on the team.
• The Beavers averaged 78.8 points per game during their four-game winning streak before being held to a season-low 57 points at WPI. It was Babson's lowest output since scoring just 56 in a home loss to WPI on February 12, 2020.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (5-7, 0-1 NEWMAC) is out to break a four-game losing streak after Wednesday's 77-71 setback Wednesday at Springfield in the Lyons' first game in more than a month.
• Junior Aaron Williams registered his third double-double of the season for the Lyons with game-highs of 28 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Junior Evan Cook netted 16 points and added eight rebounds, and first-year Ty Murphy dropped in 10 points.
• Senior Alex Carlisle leads the Lyons and ranks third in Division III with 28.9 points per game. He scored a school-record 46 points in a win over Roger Williams earlier this season.
• Wheaton's four-game skid has followed a four-game win streak in November, which included victories over Bowdoin and Western New England in the WNE Tip-Off Tournament.
NEWMAC NOTES
• Wheaton is fourth in the NEWMAC in scoring, averaging 79.7 points per game while Babson is seventh with 72.9 points a contest.
• Babson is second in the conference in team defense, allowing just 71.5 point a game, while Wheaton gives up 83.8 points per game, most in the league.
• The Beavers rank second in the NEWMAC with 39.9 rebounds per game, while Wheaton averages 35.5 board an outing.
BY THE NUMBERS
• The Beavers are 6-1 this season when leading at halftime, and 13-3 since the start of last season.
• Babson has won 12 of its last 13 since the start of the 2020-21 season when winning the rebounding battle, and is 26-2 with the advantage on the glass since the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
