Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. -- Junior Alex Rudolph scored 14 points but no other Beaver reached double figures as the Babson College men's basketball team fell to host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 73-51, in the first game of the team's West Coast trip. The Beavers are now 7-4 on the season, while CMS, ranked 21st in the nation in the most recent D3hoops.com poll, remains undefeated at 10-0.
Rudolph shot 6-of-12 for 14 points while also grabbing four rebounds and dishing out two assists. Junior Russell Braithwaite and first-year Sean McClung each added seven points for the Green and White, while junior Peter Foley pulled down a team-best five rebounds. The Beavers shot 40.9 percent (18-for-44) from the field and only 57.9 percent (11-for-19) from the free throw line.
CMS received 17 points and seven boards from Chris Blees, 12 points from Mani Maceira, and 10 points from Cody Mivshek. The Stags enjoyed a 35-24 rebounding advantage while shooting 58.2 percent (25-for-47) from the floor, including a 61.5 percent clip (8-for-13) from long range, and 60.0 percent (15-for-25) from the line.
Babson closes out its holiday trip on Saturday, when the Beavers take on Caltech at 5 p.m. local time (8 p.m. ET).
