NEW LONDON, Conn. - Five players reached double figures for the Babson men's basketball team on Saturday as the Beavers defeated host Coast Guard, 74-62, in a NEWMAC contest at Merriman Gym. With the win, Babson improved to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in the conference, while the Bears fell to 10-9 overall and 1-6 in the NEWMAC.

Sophomore Zach Etten paced the Beavers with 20 points and eight rebounds, as he shot 7-for-11 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line. Senior co-captain Brandon Eigenberg added 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while junior Brian MacDonald came up big off the bench with 11 points and five rebounds in just 13 minutes of action. Juniors Greg Bush and Kyle McDonald continued to play well for Babson, netting 10 points apiece. Senior captain Brian Parsons was the only other Beaver in the scoring column with nine points, while junior Chris Bilodeau collected six rebounds.

Al Sowers led all players with 22 points for Coast Guard, while Jeff Prebeck added 21 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
