Men's Golf's Page Named GCAA Golf Pride Grips Region I Coach of the Year

NORMAN, Okla.—Babson College head men's golf coach Jeff Page was named as the Golf Pride Grips Division III Region I Coach of the Year as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday afternoon.

Page, who announced his retirement back in December, was selected as the GCAA Region I Coach of the Year for the fourth time in the past five seasons and fifth time overall after leading the Beavers back to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2022. His squad recorded two victories and four top-five finishes in nine events of at least 36 holes during the 2025-26 campaign while finishing first in Region I and 23rd nationally in the Scoreboard Division III rankings.

Babson followed up a runner-up finish at Middlebury's Duke Nelson Invitational by winning the 54-hole Williams Invitational back in September. Page's squad also placed 10th in their Jeykll Island Collegiate Invitational debut in late March, finished fourth at the 54-hole Sam Snead Collegiate on April 13-14 and closed the year by winning the one-day Bethpage Black Invitational and the 36-hole Farmingdale State Invitational to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Championship.

The Beavers narrowly missed the 36-hole cut as a team at the Mission Inn and Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., placing 21st among 43 teams, and ended the 2025-26 campaign with a 294.28 scoring average, which ranks third in program history behind only the 2019-20 (292.21) and 2021-22 (292.41) teams. Babson finished under par as a team five times this season and four of Page's players earned GCAA PING Region I honors, including sophomore Aman Vantipalli (Alpharetta, Ga.), who tied for 49th overall at the NCAA Championship.

Since taking over the men's program in the fall of 2013, Page has led the Beavers to six NCAA Championship appearances in 14 seasons, and his players have accumulated 11 All-America and 29 all-region awards. Babson has trimmed its team scoring average by nearly 40 strokes during his tenure and each of his last seven squads dating back to the 2018-19 campaign have finished with an average below 300.
