NEW LONDON, Conn.—The Babson College women's track & field team claimed all-conference honors in a pair of events and recorded eight top-five finishes on the way to concluding the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships in fifth place on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers scored a program-best 72.5 points and came in fifth for the third time since 2021, just 3.5 points behind fourth-place WPI. Babson's highest point total prior to Saturday came in 2023 when it scored 55 points on the way to placing fifth.
No. 11 MIT captured its 17th conference title with 276 points, Coast Guard came in with 121.5 points and Springfield was third with 84.5 points.
The top individual performance for the second day in a row belonged to
Elaina Head (Kailua Kona, Hawaii), who earned All-NEWMAC honors thanks to a runner-up finish in the triple jump. She broke her own program record by more than four inches with a mark of 37-feet, 7.75-inches after placing third by clearing 5-feet, 3.25-inches in the high jump earlier in the day.
Babson's second all-conference award of the day came in the 4x100-meter relay where junior

Robyn Wilkes (Atlanta, Ga.) and first-year
Marcilee Kinerman (Atlanta, Ga.) posted a time of 48.67 to finish second. The mark was their second fastest of the season and helped the Beavers garner All-NEWMAC honors in a relay for the first time since 2023 and second time in school history.
The Green and White enjoyed a strong day in the hurdles with with five top-eight results across two events. Hart came in fourth with a time of 1:06.31 and junior
Colleen Corman (Quaker Hill, Conn.) placed sixth just 0.42 seconds behind her in the 400-meter hurdles. Senior
Brooke Jankowski (Derry, N.H.) finished fourth with a time of 15.19 in the 100-meter hurdles, which was 0.23 seconds ahead of Hart, who placed fifth, while senior
Julia Pike (Mansfield, Mass.) came in eighth with a time of 16.14.
Sophomore
Amrit Rehal (Alpharetta, Ga.) placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 5-feet, 3.25-inches, senior
Trista Sicard (Mansfield, Mass.) finished sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 36-feet, 5.75-inches, and Kinerman came in sixth with a time of 25.92 in the 200 meters and seventh with a time of 12.48 in the 100-meter dash. Senior
Chloe Clifford (Marshfield, Mass.) posted a time of 2:20.96 to place eighth in the 800 meters, Jankowski finished 10th in the high jump (4-feet, 9.50-inches) and sophomore
Sophia Draxler (Chester, N.J.) came in 10th in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:01.32.

Reagan Myer (Berryville, Va.) and Head finished fifth with a time of 4:09.86. First-year
Ali Meyers (Darien, Conn.) placed 11th in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:02.00, classmate
Emma Hsu (Tenafly, N.J.) was 12th with a leap of 34-feet, 11.25-inches in the triple jump, and Myer took 12th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.82.
Junior
Maddie Stoltz (Somers, Conn.) concluded the heptathlon with three events on Saturday, placing fifth in the javelin with a throw of 81-feet, 4-inches and eighth in both the long jump and 800 meters to come in eighth overall with 2882 points.
Babson returns to action next Friday and Saturday when it travels to Springfield for the New England Division III Championships.
