LA CROSSE, Wisc.— Babson College sophomore Amrit Rehal (Alpharetta, Ga.) became just the second athlete in program history to earn All-America recognition with a 13th-place finish in the women's high jump at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships Friday afternoon at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex.

Making her first NCAA Championships appearance, Rehal finished in a tie for 13th in a field of 22 jumpers to earn second team All-America recognition. She tied with Wisconsin-Stevens Point senior Madeline Zirbel and Wittenberg sophomore Cayla Eaton as all three cleared 5-feet, 4.5-inches (1.64 meters). All three athletes cleared 5-feet-2.5 and 5-feet-4.5 on their first attempts before coming up short on 5-feet-5.75 on all three tries.

Rehal was third among competitors from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) behind Coast Guard senior Allie Wildsmith (Bainbridge Island, Wash.), who finished third after clearing 5-feet-9.25 and MIT sophomore Amalia Toutziaridi (Athens, Greece), who placed sixth after clearing 5-feet-7.

Ohio Northern sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering captured the individual crown with a leap of 5-feet, 10.5 inches, and Centre junior Serena McNeilly finished runner-up after clearing 5-feet-9.25.

Rehal has registered eight of the top nine performances in the high jump in program history, all 5-feet, 4-inches or higher and including her program-record leap of 5-feet, 6-inches achieved back on May 9.

Rehal becomes the second Babson athlete to earn All-America honors in women's track and field, and the first in field events. She joins Katherine Jacobs '22, who placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles in 2022.
