• Gabs Smart '25 tallied a goal and an assist for the Lyons, who got six goals from six different players. Smart also collected six draw controls, five ground balls and two caused turnovers in a strong all-around performance, and classmate Talia Banglmaier scooped up three ground balls. Junior Jenna Langan made four saves in 52 minutes off the bench in the setback.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-6, 6-3 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back games after a 23-2 rout over Mount Holyoke Saturday at MacDowell Field.

• Bedard (30-31-61) is tied for fourth in the NEWMAC in assists and ranked eighth in points and Wong (34-4-38) leads the team in goals. Laden (24-1-25) is third on the squad in goals and is tied for fifth in the NEWMAC with 21 caused turnovers and ranks ninth in the NEWMAC with 54 draw controls. Rooner (20-0-20) is fourth on the team in goals and ranks second in draw controls while junior
Jen Austin (9-9-18) is second on the team in assists.
• Sophomores
Charleigh Newman and
Mackenzie Cassler are tied for second on the team with 11 caused turnovers each, and Newman and Collins are tied for second with 24 ground balls apiece. McGahan (8.65 GAA, .423 sv. pct., 63 saves) has started 13 in goal and is second in the NEWMAC in goals against average while Tamburini (7.37 GAA, .478 sv. pct., 22 svs) has started the last two games for the Beavers.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (11-5, 5-4 NEWMAC) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 19-11 victory over Johnson & Wales last Friday in Providence.
• Senior Jessica Chamberlin posted her second-most points of the season with six goals and two assists for the Lyons. Junior Georgia Qua finished with four goals and an assist, junior Annemieke Buterbaugh notched three goals, and first-year Kaydie O'Neil tallied three goals and three assists to go along with a team-high five draw controls, four caused turnovers and four ground balls. Sophomore Alexis Antonellis collected four draw controls and three ground balls, senior Kristina Krochko caused for turnovers and grabbed three ground balls, and Langan made eight saves in goal in the victory.
• Chamberlin (50-17-67) is one of five players in the NEWMAC with 50 goals, and Qua (46-17-63) and O'Neil (31-23-54), who is sixth in the league in assists, give the Lyons three 50-point scorers. Senior Katie Hallee (60) and sophomore Saige Winslow (53) are the team leaders in draw controls, and O'Neil (38) and Antonellis (35) have combined for 73 ground balls.
• O'Neil is second in the NEWMAC with 26 caused turnovers, and Antonellis (20) and senior Kayleigh York (19) are second and third on the team. Langan (11.13 GAA, .453 sv. pct.) has started 12 games in goal for the Lyons while senior Katie Geis (13.10 GAA, .361 sv. pct.) has seen action in 11 games with four starts. Langan has six double-digit save performances and Geis made a season-high 11 saves in last week's start against MIT.
JOCKEYING FOR POSITION IN THE NEWMAC
• With one game remaining in the regular season, teams are battling for NEWMAC playoff spots heading into Wednesday's contests.
• Babson (6-3) is tied with Smith (6-3) for fourth place and what could be the fourth home playoff berth on Saturday. Wheaton (5-4) is a game back and could move into a tie for fourth with a win on Wednesday.
• MIT (9-0) is one win away from finishing with a perfect NEWMAC season this spring. Coast Guard (8-1) is one game back after a 14-7 loss to MIT last Saturday, and Springfield (7-2) is alone in third place.
NOTABLE MARKS
• Bedard's 31 assists are tied for ninth with Charlotte O'Halloran '18 on the Babson all-time list for assists in a season.
• Wong's 34 goals are the most for a Babson first-year since Kaitlyn Pettengill '10 scored 50 goals in 2007 and Jackie Godfrey '09 scored 43 goals in 2006.
• Laden's 54 draw controls rank 19th on Babson's all-time list for draw controls in a season.
FIRST-YEAR CLASS
• The first-year class for the Beavers has made a strong impact on this year's team, with 10 rookies seeing action in at least eight games and seven starting at least four contests.
• Wong (34g, 4a), Rooney (17g), and
Hailey Murray (15g) are all in the top six on the team in scoring, and Rooney (23), Collins (22) and Burtch (18) are 2-3-4 on the squad in draw controls.
• Collins (10) and Rooney (9) are in the top six in caused turnovers and Collins is tied for third on the team in ground balls (22).
BEAVER BITES
• Bedard has at least four points in four straight and eight of her last 10 games.
• Wong has eight multi-goal games this spring and at least one point in all 15 outings.
• Laden has at least two goals in six of his last seven and at least one draw controls in all 16 outings.
• Rooney has scored in seven straight games and has at least one goal in 12 of her 14 games.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Green and White are 7-0 this spring and have gone 35-0 over the past three seasons when leading at halftime.
• Babson is 7-0 this season and 48-1 over the last four seasons when scoring at least 12 goals.
