MEDFORD, Mass.— Graduate student
Skyler Mott (Mills Neck, N.Y.) captured first place in the high jump as the Babson College men's track & field team registered a half dozen top-six finishes on day two of the Tufts Spring Invitational Saturday at the Ellis Oval/Zimman Field/Dussault Track.
Mott finished in first place with a leap of 6-feet, 9-inches, less than an inch off his program record of 6-feet, 9.75-inches that he set last month.
First-year
Cameron Mehallo (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) and sophomore
Jackson Adams (Norwell, Mass.) turned in outstanding performances in the 400-meter hurdles for the Beavers, placing fourth and fifth, respectively. Mehallo lowered his own program record from the 54.87 he set last week to 54.61, and Adams was right behind in 54.98.

Dominic Smith (Aspen, Colo.) took second place out of eight schools in the 4x400-meter relay in a season-best time of 3:23.10, and the foursome of sophomore
Timothy Kelm (Eliot, Maine), junior
Chris McDonough (North Andover, Mass.), sophomore
William Davila (Pompano Beach, Fla.) and Adams placed sixth in the 4x100-meter relay in a season-best time of 43.08 seconds.
Other top-10 performances on the track for the Beavers included McDonough placing seventh in the 100 meter dash in 10.99 seconds, Smith finishing seventh in the 400 meters in 51.08 seconds, and Kirtland coming in eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.36 seconds.
Sophomore
Brian Ronayne (Reading, Mass.) came in 16th place in the 800 meters in a season-best time of 1:58.40, which is a New England regional provisional qualifying time.
Senior
Joseph Addotta (Ridgefield, Conn.) and junior
Coleman Hayes (New York, N.Y.) had top performances for the Beavers in field events. Addotta placed sixth in the discus with a personal-best mark of 134-feet, 11-inches, which is a New England regional provisional qualifying mark, and Hayes took ninth in the shot put with a mark of 42-feet, 8.75-inches.
The Beavers will compete in their final regular season meet next Saturday at the annual MIT Sean Collier Invitational in Cambridge.
