Aeden Angelone as the program's new assistant coach on Friday.
Angelone comes to Babson after serving as an assistant track & field coach at fellow New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) institution Wheaton College since 2025. He assisted in developing and implementing training sessions for athletes competing in sprints, jumps, hurdles and the heptathlon and decathlon for the Lyons, who had nine NCAA Championships qualifiers while earning six United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America awards and 18 All-NEWMAC honors over the last two seasons.

Angelone enjoyed a standout career at the University of Rochester from 2022-24 after transferring from Stevens Institute of Technology. A two-time captain, he twice qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the heptathlon (2023, 2024), earning All-America honors in 2024, and also represented the Yellow Jackets at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the decathlon in both 2022 and 2023.
A six-time USTFCCCA all-region honoree, Angelone won two Liberty League titles in the heptathlon (2023, 2024) and another in the decathlon (2024) while earning six all-conference awards over three years at Rochester. He also claimed the heptathlon title at the MAC Freedom Conference Indoor Championships as a sophomore at Stevens in 2020.
In addition to his success in competition, Angelone garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognition in 2023 and 2024, and was a member of Rochester's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Angelone, who earned his B.S. in biomedical engineering from Rochester in 2024, got his start in coaching as an assistant track & field coach at Dover-Sherborn High School in 2021, helping to develop six conference champions and two New Balance Nationals qualifiers. He also has served as a coach with Patriot Pole Vault Club since 2021.
