WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's golf team opens the spring portion of its schedule at the Tiger Invitational in Pinehurst, N.C., for the fourth season in a row on Monday and Tuesday.
• The Beavers will tee it up against some of the top programs in Division III over 54 holes on the North Course at Forest Creek G.C., which is a par-72 layout that measures 6,701 yards.
2025 TIGER INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
• Three players recorded an under-par round and junior
Jack Berry and
Evan Eichenlaub tied for sixth place at 2-under to help Babson finish second in a 20-team field at last year's Tiger Invitational on March 9-10.
• Eichenlaub opened with a 3-under 69 and Berry followed his opening round 72 with a 2-under 70 to help the Beavers shoot 291-287 to come in second at 10-over 578, which was 11 strokes behind first-place Methodist and one shot ahead of third-place Sewanee.
• Sophomore
Aman Vantipalli closed with a 3-under 69 to tie for 17th position at 1-over and senior
Colin Fowler shot 74-75 to tie for 37th place at 5-over.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS
• Babson concluded the fall portion of its schedule by tying for 11th place in the Tartan Valley Invitational at Laurel Valley Golf Club outside of Pittsburgh, Pa., back in mid-October.
• Fowler tied for 17th position with an 8-over total of 224, while Vantipalli and sophomore
Chad Tordone recorded a score of 16-over 232 to finish in a tie for 50th place for the Beavers, who were tied for sixth place after 36 holes before posting their highest score of the fall in the final round.
• Vantipalli ranks first on the team with a 73.82 scoring average and owns a pair of top-11 finishes, Fowler (74.27) has recorded three top-20 results in four starts and Berry boasts a 74.73 stroke average, earned medalist honors at Middlebury's Duke Nelson Invitational back in September and finished under par three times in 11 rounds during the fall.
• The Green and White concluded the fall with a 296.91 team scoring average and finished below 300 in eight of its 11 rounds.
TOP TEAMS MEET IN PINEHURST
• The 19-team Tiger Invitational Field features 11 nationally-ranked programs and five others that are receiving votes in the most recent Bushnell Golfweek poll, which was released on March 6.
• Seven of the current top 10 (No. 1 Huntingdon, No. 2 Emory, No. 3 Carnegie Mellon, No. 4 Washington & Lee, No. 7 Oglethorpe, No. 8 Sewanee and No. 9 Methodist) will be participating along with 12th-ranked Rochester, No. 16 Kenyon, No. 17 Wittenberg and No. 19 Piedmont.
• Hampden-Sydney, Rhodes, Lynchburg and Guilford join Babson as the five programs receiving votes that will tee it up at Forest Creek GC.
HISTORY AT FOREST CREEK
• In five rounds at the Tiger Invitational over the last three seasons, the Beavers own a 299.4 team scoring average.
• Fowler has played four rounds at Forest Creek GC and owns a 77.25 stroke average, while senior
Shane Quinn has teed it up at the Tiger Invitational in each of the last two seasons and has a 76.75 average in four rounds.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Berry leads the team with three rounds under par this season and Vantipalli's 5-under 66 in the final round of the Williams was the Beavers' low score of the fall.
• Vantipalli also carded a 3-under 68 in the final round of the West Pines Collegiate in early October, while Fowler and Tordone both finished under par once in the fall.

• Babson will make its debut at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational in Jekyll Island, Ga., on March 20-22.
