SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 13-0 all-time against Coast Guard in a series that dates back to 2015.
• The Beavers have won eight of the games by at least eight goals, although last year's NEWMAC Tournament victory over the Bears was by only two goals.
• The Green and White are unbeaten (6-0) against the Bears at Cadet Memorial Field, but the last two outcomes in 2022 and 2024 were both 13-10 decisions.

LAST MEETING
Clare Connolly '25, Kathryn Blake '25 and Jessica Evans '25 registered five points apiece and Connolly and Evans combined for 16 draw controls as No. 14/13 and top-seeded Babson got past fourth-seeded Coast Guard, 16-14, in a NEWMAC tournament semifinal on April 30, 2025 at MacDowell Field.
• Connolly finished with game-highs of five goals and 10 draw controls, Blake contributed four goals and an assist, and Evans recorded three goals, two assists, six draw controls and a team-high three ground balls in the victory. Amelia Novitch '25 and Solana Fahey'25 chipped in with two goals and one assist each, and Kathleen Murphy '25 made eight saves in goal to secure the win.
• Laine Weber '25 and Caitlyn Coates '25 led the Bears with four goals apiece, and senior Abby McAllister contributed two goals and two assists. Aislinn Murray added a pair of goals, sophomore Ella Campbell collected seven draw controls, senior Rowan Walsh scooped up four ground balls, and Maici Mintchwarner '25 made eight saves in goal in the setback.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (3-0, 0-0 NEWMAC), ranked 19th by the IWLCA and 14th by USA Lacrosse Magazine, extended its winning streak to three games with a dramatic 9-8 victory over Skidmore Tuesday at MacDowell Field.
• Sophomore Estelle Gromko scored the go-ahead goal with 31.1 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and Babson came back from a 5-0 first-quarter deficit to pull out the win. Senior Lilly Bedard (3g, 1a), grad student Bella Kehoe (2g) and junior Jen Austin (2g) led the Beavers in scoring, and Gromko and first-year Jenna Wong added one goal each. Sophomore Courtney Laden (6 DC, 3 GB, 2 CT), sophomore Mackenzie Cassler (4 GB), and grad student Livy Kehoe (3 CT, 2 GB) had strong games, and junior Morgan McGahan made five saves in goal in the victory.
• Bedard (7-6-13) leads the team in scoring, Wong (10-0-10) tops the squad in goals, Austin (5-5-10) is tied for second in points, and Bella Kehoe (7-2-9) is tied for second in goals. Laden has team-highs of 13 draw controls, nine caused turnovers and eight ground balls, first-year Allie Collins is second with eight draw controls, and junior Claire Jones has seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.
• McGahan has a 6.37 goals against average and a .484 save percentage with 15 saves in three starts between the pipes.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (2-1, 0-0 NEWMAC) is coming off its first loss of the season on March 4, a tough 9-7 setback at crosstown rival Connecticut College in New London, Conn.
• McAllister scored three goals, first-year Joely Schaumloffel finished with two goals and an assist, and sophomore Elizabeth Pearcy and senior Hannah Warnke chipped in with one goal for the Bears, who led 6-5 late in the third quarter. Campbell and junior Tylr Neely collected four draw controls each, and sophomore Kailee Heron made seven saves and scooped up four ground balls in the setback.
• McAllister (9-6-15) and Schaumloffel (10-4-14) lead the Bears on offense, accounting for nearly half of the team's 40 goals. Sophomore Rileigh Leary (4-4-8), Warnke (7-0-7) and senior Isabella Judge (2-5-7) are strong contributors on offense, and Leary (10), Neely (10) and senior Lauren Henry (9) are team leaders on draw controls.
• Henry (7) and Walsh (5) have combined for 12 caused turnovers this spring and Heron and McAllister each have seven ground balls. Heron has posted a 4.16 goals against average with a 52.2 save percentage with 12 saves in three starts between the pipes.

NEWMAC PRESEASON POLL
• The three-time defending regular season champion Beavers received three of the 11 first-place votes and finished second in this year's NEWMAC preseason coaches' poll.
• Defending tournament champion MIT finished first with eight first-place votes. Springfield was third in the poll, and Coast Guard and Smith rounded out the top five.

SUCCESS IN THE NEWMAC 
• Babson has won 27 consecutive NEWMAC regular season games going back to 2023 and is 36-2 in regular season conference games dating back to 2022.
• The Beavers have finished in the top two in the NEWMAC regular season race in the last eight full seasons going back to 2016.
• The Green and White outscored the opponents 199-64 while going 10-0 in the conference last season.

THREE IN A ROW 
• Bedard has at least three points in all three games this season, Bella Kehoe has at least two goals in all three, Austin has at least two points and Wong has at least one goal in all three.
• Laden has collected two draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls against all three opponents this spring, and Collins has at least one of each in all three.

BEAVER BITES
• The Beavers are ranked 19th in Division III in scoring defense, allowing just 5.67 goals per game.
• The Green and White are 18-5 in away games or neutral site contests since the beginning of the 2024 season.
• Babson has outshot its opponents this season 89-46, including 65-35 in shots on goal, while outscoring the other team 39-17.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have won their last 41 games over the past three seasons when holding their opponents to 10 goals or fewer.
• Babson was 15-0 last season and is 42-1 over the last four seasons when scoring at least 12 goals.
• The Green and White have gone 29-0 over the past three seasons when leading at halftime.
• Babson is 15-1 since last spring and 28-2 going back to 2024 when winning more draws than its opponents.
