SERIES HISTORY
vs. Castleton

• Babson is 30-5-5 all-time versus Castleton in a series that dates back to 2004.
• The Beavers are unbeaten over their last 21 games (19-0-2) against the Spartans.
• The Green and White are 6-0-1 in the series in Vermont since 2015.
vs. Norwich
• The Beavers are 31-49-8 all-time against Norwich in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 campaign.
• Babson owns a 6-4-1 lead over Norwich over the past five seasons after Norwich had captured six out of seven meetings over the previous three campaigns.
• The Green and White are 2-10-0 against the Cadets at Kreitzberg Arena since 2015, including a 6-4 regular season win in December 2021 and a 4-0 NEHC tournament semifinal triumph in February 2023.

LAST MEETING
vs. Castleton

• First-year Reid Pehrkon and junior Jimmy Fallon scored goals 13 seconds apart with less than four minutes remaining and No. 15 Babson overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit to defeat Castleton, 4-3, back on November 15, 2025, inside the Babson Skating Center.
• First-year Brian Grant and senior Charlie Andriole also scored for the Beavers, and Pehrkon, seniors Ryan Murphy and Nolan Dion, junior Joseph Kramer and sophomore Evan Brown tallied assists. Junior Mason Rosado made 24 saves in goal in the victory.
• Sophomore Trevor Castino led the Spartans with a goal and an assist, and juniors Josef Vivial and Cam Reid notched one goal each. Seniors Jackson Edwards and Logan Dapprich and sophomore Emmett McHardy registered assists, and first-year Lukas Bukatovs finished with 23 saves in the Castleton net.
vs. Norwich
• Fallon registered his second career hat trick as No. 15 Babson edged Norwich, 4-3, on November 14, 2025, inside the Babson Skating Center.
• Kramer also scored for the Beavers and Brown collected three assists in the win. Seniors Egan SchmittIan Driscoll and Dion and junior CJ Beals produced assists, and senior Nate Mueller made 17 saves of his 35 saves in the third period.
• Junior Zach Ophoven, sophomore Kyle Kudrna and senior Matt Harvey scored for the Cadets, and first-year Niko Benjamin, senior Nick Cordeiro, and juniors Boyd Stahlbaum and Owen Sclisizzi registered assists. Junior Sami Molu made 25 saves in goal in the setback.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 9 Babson (14-2-2, 10-1-1 LEC) extended its winning streak to five games with a 5-1 victory at Southern Maine last Saturday in Gorham, Maine.
• Fallon tallied his second hat trick of the season and the third of his career and Babson used a three-goal second period to secure the win. Senior Mike Stevens tallied a goal and an assist, junior Sean Senier added a goal, and seniors Will Holland and Schmitt contributed two assists each to lead a group of 10 Beavers who collected at least one point. Mueller made 23 saves in goal for the Beavers.
• Fallon (14-12-26) and Brown (6-20-26) are tied for third in the LEC in points while Fallon is tied for the league lead in goals and ranks 10th in assists and Brown sits atop the LEC in assists. Andriole (8-9-17) is second on the team in goals and leads the league and ranks fourth in Division III in goals by a defenseman. Andriole (+27) and Holland (+27) are tied for the conference lead in plus/minus while Brown (+19) is fourth, Fallon (+17) is fifth, and Schmitt (+15) is tied for sixth.
• Mueller (1.75 GAA, .931 sv. pct.) is 12-1-2 in 15 starts in goal and tops the LEC in goals against average and save percentage. Junior Mason Rosado (2.50 GAA, .885 sv. pct.) is 3-1 in four starts with one shutout.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
• Castleton (11-8-1, 7-6-0 LEC) had a two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 4-1 home loss to UMass Boston. The Spartans won Friday evening's game over UMass Dartmouth, 4-2.
• Dapprich scored the lone goal in the loss to UMB with an assist from senior Dylan Roebuck. McHardy scored twice in the first three minutes of the win over UMD, and Marcus Bellomo and David Coyle scored goals late in the third period to clinch the victory. Senior Josh Ward made 21 saves in goal in the setback to the Beacons after a 24-save performance in the win against the Corsairs.
• Sophomore Luke Chakrabarti (14-11-25) and McHardy (11-12-23) give the Spartans a strong 1-2 punch, with Chakrabarti sharing the LEC lead in goals and McHardy ranking seventh. The duo are also fifth and sixth in the league in points. Bellomo (6-9-15) is third on the team in scoring and first-year Tyler Burke (8-6-14), Coyle (5-9-14) and Reid (3-11-14) are tied for fourth.
• Ward (6-3, 3.00 GAA, .896 sv. pct.) has two shutouts in nine starts for the Spartans. Sophomore Charles Watson (3.89 GAA, .844 sv. pct.) is 3-3-1 in seven starts and Bukatova (2.75 GAA, .906 sv. pct.) is 2-2 in four starts with one shutout.

SCOUTING THE CADETS
• Norwich (12-5-3, 9-2-2 LEC), which is receiving votes in this week's USCHO.com Division III poll, brings a four-game unbeaten streak (2-0-2) into Friday's game against Southern Maine after a 6-2 victory over UMass Dartmouth last Saturday at Kreitzberg Arena.
• Ophoven, Stahlbaum and first-years Frank D'Ancona and Benjamin tallied a goal and an assist each in the win over UMD, and Cordeiro and junior Cooper Bertrand also scored for the Cadets. Juniors Colin Elliott and Ben van Waterschoot collected two assists apiece and Molu needed to make just 14 saves in goal for the win.
• Stahlbaum (8-12-20), van Waterschoot (6-14-20) and D'Ancona (4-16-20) share the team scoring lead and rank in the top 10 in the league. Elliott (10-8-18) and Ophoven (10-6-16) share the team lead in goals, and Cordeiro (5-13-18) and Bertrand (3-12-15) are also key offensive players for the Cadets, who have outscored their opponents 68-46.
• Molu (6-5-3, 2.45 GAA, .916 sv. pct.) has one shutout and is third in the LEC in goals against average and fifth in save percentage. Junior Bryce Walcarius (1.73 GAA, .909 sv. pct.) is 6-0 in six starts.

LOOKING AT THE LITTLE EAST
• Babson (10-1-1, 30 pts) enters the weekend in second place in the LEC, just two points behind league-leading Norwich (9-2-2, 32 pts), which has played one more game than the Beavers.
•Southern Maine (8-3-1, 25 pts) and Plymouth State (8-4-1, 24 pts) are battling for third and fourth place and are in strong position to host quarterfinal playoff games.
• Castleton (7-6-0, 21 pts) and UMass Boston (6-5-1, 20 pts) are on pace to earn the fifth and sixth playoff spots.

CONCANNON SEMIFINALISTS
• The Babson trio of Andriole, Fallon and Mueller were among 36 players selected as semifinalists for the Silver Anniversary and 25th Joe Concannon Award as announced by the Greater Gridiron Club of Boston on Thursday. 
• The award is presented annually to the best American-born NCAA Division II/III hockey player in New England. All three players were named to the list for the first time in their respective careers.
• The Beavers, along with Conference of New England (CNE) programs Endicott, Suffolk and the U. of New England all had three semifinalists. 

NCAA RANKINGS
• Babson is ranked 10th in Division III in both scoring defense (2.05 goals allowed per game) and scoring offense (4.00 goals per game).
• The Beavers are 14th in Division III with a 26.3 power play percentage and 48th in penalty kill percentage at 81.3.
• Brown is fourth in Division III in assists per game (1.05) and Fallon is ninth in goals per game (0.74), and the two are tied for 20th in points per game (1.37).
• Mueller is fifth in Division III in goalie winning percentage (.867), sixth in goals against average (1.75), and 18th in save percentage (.931).

BEAVER BITES
• Fallon has five goals in his last three games and has at least one point in 15 of 19 games this season.
• Brown is riding a nine-game point streak with three goals and 10 assists in that span.
• Kennedy has six assists in his last five games and Holland has four helpers in his last three outings.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 10-0-1 this season when leading after the first period and 11-0-1 when taking a lead into the third period.
• The Green and White are 15-0-1 this season when scoring at least three goals.
• Babson is 11-0 this season when scoring the first goal of the game.
• The Beavers are 10-1 when scoring at least once on the power play and 7-1-2 when not allowing a PPG.

UP NEXT
• The Beavers will play their final regular season home games next weekend, hosting UMass Boston on February 13 and UMass Dartmouth on February 14 inside the Babson Skating Center.
