SERIES HISTORY
vs. New England College
• Babson is 51-26-8 all-time against New England College in a series that dates back to 1977.
• The Beavers captured five straight games in the series from 2023-25 but the Pilgrims have taken the last two, including an upset in last year's New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) tournament quarterfinals and the regular season contest back in January, both at the Babson Skating Center.
• The Green and White have won four in a row and six of the last seven at Lee Clement Arena going back to 2021.
vs. Plymouth State
• Babson leads Plymouth State 8-2-1 in the all-time series that dates back to the 2002-03 season.
• The Beavers are 7-1-1 against the Panthers since 2015, although seven of the nine games were decided by one goal or ended in a tie, including three overtime affairs.
• The Green and White are 2-1-1 against PSU at Hanaway Rink, with the Panthers taking the last meeting in 2023 in overtime, 6-5.

• Sophomore goalie Anthony Beaulieu made a season-high 40 saves and New England College scored twice in a span of 80 seconds late in the second period to pull off an upset over No. 7 Babson, 2-1, on January 10, 2026, inside the Babson Skating Center.

• Mueller made 32 saves in goal, including double digits in all three periods, and No. 7 Babson scored twice in each of the second and third frames to defeat Plymouth State, 4-1, on January 9, 2026, inside the Babson Skating Center.

• Senior Payton Schaly scored the lone goal for the Panthers with an assist from classmate Will Redick. Senior Brandon Shantz finished with 36 saves in the PSU goal in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 11 Babson (18-3-2, 13-2-1 LEC) has won eight of its last nine games after sweeping UMass Boston (2-1) and UMass Dartmouth (7-3) in the final regular season home games last weekend in Babson Park.

• Fallon (17-14-31) is tied for second in the Little East in goals and ranks third in points while Brown (8-20-28) is second in the league in assists and tied for fifth in points. Schmitt (5-13-18) is third on the team in assists and points, and Andriole (8-9-17), Kennedy (7-10-17), and Murphy (5-12-17) have 17 points each.
• Mueller (1.86 GAA, .926 sv. pct.) is 14-2-2 in 18 starts in goal and tops the LEC in goals against average and ranks second in save percentage.
SCOUTING THE PILGRIMS
• New England College (7-16-0, 6-10-0 LEC) has dropped two in a row after falling at Plymouth State last Saturday, 4-2.
• Sophomore Egor Osipik gave NEC a 1-0 lead with a second-period power play goal and Duckson scored at 9:15 of the third period to cut the deficit to 3-2 before PSU notched an empty-net goal. Sophomore Vladimir Maksimov made a season-high 37 saves in the setback.
• Osipik (10-13-23) has five goals and five assists in a current five-game scoring streak and leads the Pilgrims in scoring. Sibley (6-9-15) has three goals and three assists in his last five outings while Viglino (3-9-12) is third on the team in scoring and senior Graham Hassan (5-5-10) and first-year Jack Brennan (2-8-10) are tied for fourth.
• Beaulieu (3.48 GAA, .897 sv. pct.) is 7-9 in 16 starts between the pipes for the Pilgrims while senior Danny Miscavish (2.83 GAA, .890 sv. pct.) has five starts and Maksimov (3.29 GAA, .901 sv. pct.) has two.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• Plymouth State (13-9-1, 10-5-1 LEC), which will host Southern Maine on Friday, has won its last two including the 4-2 win over New England College last Saturday at Hanaway Rink.
• Redick scored two goals, including a power play marker and the game-sealing empty-netter, while first-year Tucker Shedd and junior Will Pray also scored in a three-goal second-period surge. Junior Connor Strobel finished with 25 saves in the victory.
• Redick (16-17-33) is in the top four in the LEC in goals, assists and points, first-year Etienne Tremblay-Mathieu (9-17-26) is fourth in the league in assists and eighth in points, and Schaly (12-11-23) is seventh in goals. Senior Brendan Doyle (8-10-18) has a team-high three game-winners and sophomore Matt Hale (6-11-17) and Shedd (6-11-17) are tied for fifth on the team in scoring.
• Shantz (3.71 GAA, .883 sv. pct.) is 6-5-1 in 12 starts between the pipes while Strobel (3.30 GAA, .894 sv. pct.) is 7-4-0 in 11 starts.
LEC WEEEKLY HONORS
• Mueller and Fallon were recognized by the LEC on Monday as Mueller was named Goalie of the Week for the fourth time this season and Fallon was tabbed the Player of the Week for the second time.
• Mueller posted a 2.00 goals against average and stopped 51 of 55 shots for a .927 save percentage in wins over UMass Boston and UMass Dartmouth. Fallon scored three goals and added one assist for four points, including his third hat trick of the season in the win over UMD.
• Mueller also received the LEC goalie honor on November 3, December 1, and January 5 and Fallon was previously recognized on November 17.
LOOKING AT THE LITTLE EAST
• Norwich (13-2-2, 44 points) has a five-point lead over Babson (13-2-1, 39 points) in the race for the Little East regular season title heading into the final weekend, and both teams have clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming LEC tournament as well as home ice for the semifinals.
• Southern Maine (10-5-1, 31 points) and Plymouth State (10-5-1, 30 points), who play each other on Friday, are in a battle for third and fourth place and own their own destiny for hosting a first-round playoff game next Wednesday.
• Vermont State Castleton (9-8-0, 28 points) and UMass Boston (8-7-1, 26 points) have clinched the final two playoff berths, and both could move up in the standings and host a first-round contest.
CHECKING THE DIVISION III POLLS
• Babson has been in the USCHO.com Division III poll most of the season, reaching as high as No. 7, and has been ranked 11th the past two weeks.
• Babson is ranked ninth in the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI), a system used to select and seed teams for the NCAA Tournament. Norwich is 16th, followed by UMass Boston (30th), Plymouth State (38th), Southern Maine (50th), and VTSU Castleton (51st).
NCAA RANKINGS
• Babson is ranked ninth in Division III in scoring defense (2.09 goals allowed per game) and 14th in scoring offense (3.91 goals per game).
• The Beavers are ninth in Division III with a 26.1 power play percentage and 56th in penalty kill percentage at 79.3.
• Mueller is ranked ninth in Division III with a 1.86 goals against average, seventh in goalie winning percentage (.833) and 24th in save percentage (.926).
• Fallon ranks eighth in Division III in goals per game (0.74) and 23rd in points per game (1.35) while Brown ranks 20th in assists per game (0.87) and 40th in points per game (1.22).
BEAVERS VS. THE VISITORS
• Kennedy (4-1-5) and Driscoll (3-2-5) have five points each in eight games against NEC while Fallon (1-3-4) has four points in six contests and Holland (2-1-3, 8 gms), Dion (1-2-3, 6 gms), Murphy (0-3-3, 8 gms) and Andriole (0-3-3, 0-3-3) have three points each.
• Schmitt (2-3-5) is Babson's leading active scorer against Plymouth State with five points in four games, while Murphy (2-2-4), Kennedy (2-2-4) and Woudenberg (0-4-4) have four points apiece and Driscoll (1-2-3) has three points.
DEFENSE ON THE OFFENSE
• The Beavers have received 15 of their 90 goals this season from defensemen.
• Among all Babson blue-liners going back to the 2001-02 season, three of this year's defensemen rank among the top 15 in career points – Andriole (12-31-43), Holland (9-32-41) and senior
Nolan Dion (3-30-33).
BEAVER BITES
• Fallon's 17 goals this season is the most for a Babson player since Ryan Black '22 notched 19 goals in 2021-22.
• Brown is the first Babson player to record 20 assists in a season since PT Donato '13 tallied 23 helpers in 2012-13.
• Mueller is the first Beaver goalie to register 14 victories since Babson Hall of Fame goalie Jamie Murray '16 had 14 wins in 2015-16.
