SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 65-25 all-time against MIT in a series that dates back to the 1978-79 campaign.
• The Beavers have won 10 straight versus the Engineers, which includes five consecutive victories inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Going back to 2017, ten of the last 18 games between the Green and White and MIT have been decided by seven points or fewer or in overtime, although each of Babson's last four wins have come by double digits.

Timmy Mulvey added 17 points to help Babson defeat MIT, 80-51, on January 20 in Cambridge.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (17-6, 11-3 NEWMAC) has won five straight and 11 of its last 12 games after pulling away for an 89-72 victory at Wheaton on Saturday.

Vaughn Foster each provided 12 points for the Beavers, who shot 55.4 percent from the field and used a 17-0 run to build an 80-62 lead with less than five minutes to play.
• Ferdinando (16.2 pts, 3.9 reb, 2.6 ast) is shooting 44.2 percent from three-point range and ranks fifth in the conference in scoring, Mulvey (15.5 pts, 2.6 ast) is eighth in scoring and leads the NEWMAC with 78 three-pointers, and O'Toole (10.4 pts, 8.8 reb) is shooting 58.8 percent from the field and leads the league in rebounding.
• The Green and White is committing a league-low 9.8 turnovers in NEWMAC play and also ranks first in rebounding margin (+4.3) and forced turnovers (14.6) and second in scoring defense (63.4 points) and three-pointers per game (9.9).
SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• MIT (6-17, 2-12 NEWMAC) has dropped nine of its last 10 games and saw its upset bid come up just short in a 70-65 loss to first-place WPI last Saturday.
• Dobie poured in 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, Parker Spann scored 15 points and Zhang added 10 points for the Engineers, who made 13 three-pointers for the second game in a row and led by one with 4:26 remaining.
• Dobie (16.0 pts, 4.4 reb) ranks seventh in the league in scoring and has surpassed 20 points in three of his last five outings, Spann (12.8 pts, 6.1 reb) is shooting 46.4 percent from the field and is averaging 18 points over the last four games, and Zhang (10.5 pts, 2.3 reb) has connected on multiple three-pointers in 13 straight contests.
• MIT ranks fourth in conference play in three-pointers per game (8.7) and is fifth in field goal defense allowing opponents to shoot 44.6 percent.
LAUDER NAMED NEWMAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
• After posting a double-double and averaging 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks, senior
Tyler Lauder was tabbed as the league's defensive player of the week on Monday.
• Lauder finished with 13 points and 10 boards in last Wednesday's win at Emerson and had two steals and on rejection against both the Lions and Wheaton.
PLAYOFF PUSH
• The Beavers enter Wednesday in second place in the NEWMAC standings, a game behind first-place WPI (12-2) and a game in front of third-place Salve Regina (10-4)
• Babson can secure one of two byes in the quarterfinal round by winning each of its final two games or with a Salve Regina loss to Wheaton on Wednesday night. To earn the top seed, the Green and White must win both its remaining games and have WPI lose to Emerson and Wheaton.
• In addition to the conference playoff race, Babson enters the week sitting at No. 31 in the Division III NPI and is one of two NEWMAC programs, along with No. 28 WPI, currently in position to earn an NCAA Tournament bid.
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS
• O'Toole has set a new career high with 202 rebounds this winter and ranks seventh in Division III averaging 3.96 offensive rebounds per game on the year.
• One of nine players in program history with more than 700 career boards, O'Toole needs seven more to pass John Wickey '15, who is currently eighth with 721 career caroms.
• Since the statistic began being tracked at Babson in 1999-2000, O'Toole's 91 offensive rebounds this winter are a single-season record and his 303 career offensive boards are 80 more than any other player over the last 26 seasons.
THREE AT A TIME
• Mulvey ranks third in Division III in three-pointers per game (3.39), sixth in total three-pointers (78) and 16th in three-point field goal percentage (43.3), while Ferdinando ranks ninth nationally in three-point percentage (44.2), 12th in three-pointers (72) and 15th in three-pointers per game (3.13).
• Mulvey enters Wednesday's contest with 130 career trifectas, which ranks 11th on the Beavers' all-time list, and is tied with current associate head coach
Joey Flannery '17 for fifth on the single-season list.
• Ferdinando has already shattered the previous Babson rookie record of 56 three-pointers and is tied with Phil Riffe '05 for 10th on the single-season chart.
BEAVER BITES
• Lauder has scored in double figures in three of the last four games and is averaging 10.5 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 58.6 percent, and also ranks fourth in the conference with a 1.68 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• Ferdinando has scored in double figures in 14 straight games and has knocked down at least two three-pointers eight consecutive outings.
• Mulvey has reached double figures in scoring in 11 straight contests and has connected on at least three three-pointer in 10 consecutive games.
• Four of O'Toole's team-leading six double-doubles have come during the Beavers' last nine games.
• Murphy is averaging 10.0 points over the last three outings and is 16-of-18 (88.9 percent) from the free throw line over the last six games.

Ryan Frauenheim has played at least 23 minutes in six of the last seven games and is contributing 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals to go along with a 2.60 assist-to-turnover ratio.
