SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 11 Babson (16-3-2, 11-2-1 LEC) had a six-game winning streak snapped with a 3-1 loss at Norwich on Saturday in Northfield, Vt.
• Murphy scored the lone goal for the Green and White with assists from Driscoll and junior
CJ Beals. Mueller finished with 13 saves for the Beavers, who outshot the Cadets 39-16.
• Fallon (14-13-27) and Brown (7-20-27) are tied for fifth in the LEC in scoring; Fallon is tied for third in the conference in goals and Brown tops the league in assists. Andriole (8-9-17) is second on the team in goals and leads the league and ranks fourth in Division III in goals by a defenseman. Andriole (+29) leads the LEC in plus/minus while senior

• Mueller (1.84 GAA, .926 sv. pct.) is 12-2-2 in 16 starts in goal and tops the LEC in goals against average and ranks second in save percentage. Junior
Mason Rosado (2.40 GAA, .900 sv. pct.) is 4-1 in five starts with one shutout.
SCOUTING THE BEACONS
• UMass Boston (13-7-1, 8-5-1 LEC) owns a three-game winning streak after sweeping Plymouth State (8-5) and New England College (3-1) last weekend in Boston.
• Senior Jazz Krivtsov and juniors Zander Lizotte and Jack Mortson scored in the win over NEC, and first-year Alex Koenig made 31 saves in goal. Kurtas and Krivtsov tallied two goals and two assists apiece in the victory over PSU, while Mortson added a goal and two helpers, junior Chris Merryman chipped in with a goal and an assist, and Repmann and junior Jakub Teply scored once each. McDonough finished with 41 saves in the victory.
• The Beacons boast a balanced scoring with Kurtas (11-17-28) and Krivtsov (11-13-24) with 11 goals each and Mortson (10-10-20) and Repmann (10-6-16) with 10 apiece. Merryman (+25) is third in the LEC in plus/minus while Krivstov (+15) is sixth and Kurtas (+14) and Mortson (+13) are both in the top 10.
• Koenig (7-1-1, 2.24 GAA, .929 sv. pct.) has 10 starts and leads the LEC in save percentage and ranks second in GAA while McDonough (6-6, 2.22 GAA, .925 sv. pct.) is third in save percentage and fourth in GAA.
SCOUTING THE CORSAIRS
• UMass Dartmouth (10-11-0, 5-9-0 LEC), which will play at Southern Maine on Friday, has dropped its last four games after home losses to New England College (5-2) and Plymouth State (6-3) last weekend.
• First-year Kailen Chen and junior Alex Walker scored goals against NEC to tie the game in the third period and Burke made 40 saves in the setback. Stewart tallied his third hat trick of the season to account for the scoring in the setback to PSU while senior Marshall McKallip finished with 44 saves.
• Stewart (15-19-34) is tied for third in Division III in scoring and leads the LEC in points and ranks second in both goals and assists. Chen (8-13-21) is second in the LEC in scoring by a freshman and sophomore Hunter Scanlon (6-13-19), Walker (8-10-18) and Cardillo (7-8-15) and also solid offensive contributors.
• Burke (3.32 GAA, .919 sv. pct.) is fourth in the LEC in save percentage and sixth in goals against average while McKallip (3.83 GAA, .911 sv. pct.) is sixth in save percentage.
HOME ICE SUCCESS
• The Beavers are 7-2-2 at the Babson Skating Center this season, including 5-1-1 in conference games.
• After opening the home game slate with three one-goal victories, the last four home wins have been by a combined 12 goals.
• The Green and White are 15-6-3 at home since the start of last season and 32-11-6 on home ice over the past four years.
LOOKING AT THE LITTLE EAST
• With two weekends to go in the inaugural LEC regular season, Norwich (11-2-2, 38 pts) has a solid lead over second-place Babson (11-2-1, 33 pts).
• The next four schools are all within three points of each other, with Plymouth State (9-5-1, 27 pts), UMass Boston (8-5-1, 26 pts), Southern Maine (8-5-1, 25 pts), and Vermont State Castleton (8-7-0, 24 pts) all in good position for an LEC playoff berth, while New England College (6-9-0, 17 pts) and UMass Dartmouth (5-9-0, 15 pts) need help to earn a post-season bid..
• Teams are awarded three points for a win in regulation, two points for an overtime or shootout win, and one point for an overtime or shootout loss.
• The top six teams received LEC Tournament playoff berths, with the top two earning first-round byes.
CHECKING THE DIVISION III POLLS
• Babson has been in the USCHO.com Division III poll most of the season, reaching as high as No. 7 and ranking 11th this week, while Norwich has been climbing up and receiving votes the last four weeks.
• Babson is ranked 10th in the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI), a system used to select and seed teams for the NCAA Tournament. Norwich is 16th, followed by UMass Boston (26th), Plymouth State (39th), VTSU Castleton (46th), Southern Maine (56th), and UMass Dartmouth (60th).
DEFENSE ON THE OFFENSE
• The Beavers have received 15 of their 81 goals this season from defensemen.
• Among all Babson blue-liners going back to the 2001-02 season, three of this year's defensemen rank among the top 15 in career points – Andriole (12-31-43), Holland (9-30-39) and senior

NCAA RANKINGS
• Babson is ranked ninth in Division III in scoring defense (2.10 goals allowed per game) and 16th in scoring offense (3.86 goals per game).

Jamie Rice '90 earned his 350th career victory last Friday against Castleton and now ranks 10th among active coaches in Division III in wins with a career mark of 350-178-51.
