• Babson (11-7, 3-1 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back games after using a stifling defensive effort to down WPI 52-30 on Wednesday night.

Chloe Perreault scored a season-high 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds and Flynn added 10 points for the Beavers, who forced 22 turnovers and held the Engineers without a field goal for a stretch of more than 14 minutes in the first half while building a 21-point lead.

Rylie Rosenberg (10.4 pts, 2.1 ast) has made a team-high 37 three-pointers and Perreault (7.9 pts, 6.1 reb) is averaging career highs in both points and rebounds.
• The Green and White ranks third in both scoring defense (52.3 points), field goal percentage defense (36.0) and forced turnovers (18.0) in NEWMAC play, and is also second in rebounding margin (+4.6).
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Mount Holyoke (4-14, 0-4 NEWMAC) has dropped its last four games and is coming off a 42-40 loss at Wheaton on Wednesday night.
• Alex Twomey finished with 11 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, while Taryn White contributed 10 points, eight boards and three steals for the Lyons, who rallied to tie the game on a bucket by Ania McMichael with 29 seconds remaining after trailing by as many as 14 in the first half despite shooting just 23.5 percent.
• Twomey (11.0 pts, 7.5 reb, 2.6 ast, 2.5 stl) has scored in double figures four times in the last six games, Sofia Francisco (7.5 pts, 11.4 reb, 2.6 blocks) leads the NEWMAC in blocked shots and is second in rebounds, and White is averaging 7.3 points and 6.8 boards.
• Through its first four conference games, Mount Holyoke ranks fourth in both scoring defense allowing 58.3 points and field goal percentage defense (37.7) but is last in rebounding margin (-7.8).
DIALING UP THE DEFENSE
• After allowing 62.6 points and 0.85 points per possession over its 13 games, Babson has held its first four NEWMAC opponents to 52.3 points and 0.77 points per possession on 36 percent shooting while forcing a turnover on 26.4 percent of its defensive possessions.
