SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 43-16 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to the 1989-90 campaign.
•    The Beavers and Lyons have split their last six meetings, which includes each team winning on its home court last winter.
•    The Green and White has dominated the series at home since 2011 going 12-2 versus Wheaton.
•    Five of the last six games between the teams have been decided by eight points or less, which includes three straight outcomes of five points or fewer.

LAST MEETING
•    Alex Stoddard M'25 scored 17 points and Nate Amado '25 and Felix Kloman M'25 added 12 points apiece to help the Beavers edge Wheaton, 70-65, on February 12, 2025, in Babson Park.
•    Stoddard and Amado scored 12 consecutive points and combined for 16 of the team's final 18 over the final 5:34 for the Beavers, who trailed by as many as 10 in the second half.
•    Dimetri Iafrate led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go along with five assists and five steals, while Eoin Morrissey added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Lyons, who shot 45.3 percent in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (8-5, 2-2 NEWMAC) has won two straight games after pulling out a 69-66 OT thriller at Springfield on Tuesday.
•    First-year Thomas Ferdinando scored 21 points, sophomore Timmy Mulvey added 18 and classmate Logan Murphy chipped in with 10, including the game-tying three-pointer to force overtime and the go-ahead triple with 0.3 seconds left in the extra session for the Beavers, who trailed by as many as 20 points early in the second half.
•    Ferdinando (15.5 pts, 3.8 reb, 2.5 ast) has reached double figures in four straight games and ranks fifth in the league in scoring, Mulvey (13.7 pts, 2.9 ast) is one of just three NEWMAC players among the top 10 in both scoring and assists, and senior Timmy O'Toole (10.0 pts, 9.1 reb) has posted two double-doubles and leads the conference in rebounding.
•    The Green and White is averaging 75.6 points and 1.07 points per possession in addition to ranking 32nd in three-point field goal percentage (36.7).

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Wheaton (9-4, 2-2 NEWMAC) had its three-game winning streak snapped in a 60-55 loss to MIT last Saturday.
•    Iafrate finished with 18 points, three assists and three steals, and Morrissey scored 18 points to go along with eight rebounds for the Lyons, who trailed by as many as 13 with under six minutes to play and shot just 32.1 percent overall and 22.2 percent from long range.

•    Wheaton ranks first in the league and 33rd in Division III in scoring defense allowing just 66.4 points and have given up 0.95 points per possession on the year.

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK
•    Wednesday's victory marked the Beavers' largest second-half comeback since rallying from 18 points down to defeat Coast Guard 94-92 in OT on January 15, 2020.
•    The win was also just Babson's third when trailing with under a minute to play over the last three seasons and first since January 23, 2025, when it rallied to beat Coast Guard 74-72.
•    The Green and White scored just 19 first-half points on 5-of-27 shooting (18.5 percent) before flipping the script and scoring 50 points over the final 25 minutes on 50 percent shooting.

CLEANING UP ON THE GLASS
•    O'Toole, who leads the conference in rebounding, pulled down a career-high 20 boards in Tuesday's victory at Springfield.
•    His 20 rebounds are three shy of the highest total in Division III this season and the most by any Babson player since Kieran Dorney hauled in 21 in an overtime win over Salem State back on December 4, 2021.
•    O'Toole also boasts the three highest rebounding totals by any NEWMAC player this season as he finished with 17 in a win over Brandeis on November 8 and 16 in a victory over Saint Joseph (Conn.) on November 30 in addition to Tuesday's performance at Springfield.

BEAVER BITES
•    Ferdinando, who is averaging 21.0 points on 53.8 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists over the last four games, ranks fourth in Division III in three-point field goal percentage (50.0) and sixth in three-pointers per game (3.38).
•    O'Toole ranks 15th in Division III in offensive rebounds per game (3.92) and has finished with at least four in 10 of the Beavers' first 13 games.
•    Mulvey has dished out at least two assists in seven consecutive outings dating back to November 25.
•    In five starts this winter, Murphy is averaging 10.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists, and has scored in double figures three times.
•    Senior Tyler Lauder, who played a season-high 33 minutes at Springfield, has grabbed at least six rebounds in four consecutive outings.
