SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 31-44 all-time against Springfield in a series that dates back to the 1976-77 campaign.
•    The Beavers have won six of their last eight games versus the Pride since 2022. 
•    Although it has been victorious in eight of its last trips to Blake Arena, the Green and White has dropped back-to-back games in the Birthplace of Basketball. 
•    Seven of Babson's last eight wins inside Blake Arena have been by six points or fewer. 

LAST MEETING
•    Jarron Flynn scored 14 points and Cedric Rodriguez added 13 points to lead three players in double figures as the Pride defeated Babson, 70-52, on February 8, 2025, in Springfield, Mass. 
•    Josh Hartley came off the bench to provide 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting for Springfield, which shot 53.7 percent from the field and outscored the Green and White 48-20 in the paint. 
•    Nate Amado '25 scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out four assists for the Beavers, who shot just 29.5 percent and trailed by as many as 15 late in the first half. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (7-5, 1-2 NEWMAC) snapped a four-game losing streak by blasting Coast Guard 89-41 on Saturday afternoon. 
•    Senior Timmy O'Toole scored 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds, first-year Robby Fiore scored a season-high 16 points and fellow rookie Thomas Ferdinando added 13 points, four assists and three steals for the Beavers, who built a 31-point first-half lead and shot 50 percent from the field in the victory. 
•    Ferdinando (15.0 pts, 3.9 reb, 2.6 ast) is averaging 21.0 points over the last three games and shooting 50 percent from three-point range, sophomore Timmy Mulvey (13.3 pts, 2.9 ast) leads the team in assists and has scored in double figures in nine of his 12 starts, and O'Toole (10.1 pts, 8.2 reb) is shooting 60.2 percent and leads the conference in rebounding. 
•    The Green and White is averaging 76.2 points on 45 percent shooting and ranks 30th in Division III in three-pointers per game (10.3). 

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
•    Springfield (4-9, 2-2 NEWMAC) has dropped four of its last five games after suffering a 99-53 loss to No. 25 WPI on Saturday. 
•    Sean Harrigan came off the bench to score 12 points and RJ Hutt added nine points and six rebounds for the Pride, which made just six first-half field goals and shot a season-worst 29.3 percent from the floor in the loss. 
•    Hartley (10.5 pts, 6.3 reb) is shooting 60.7 percent from the floor and leads the team in scoring and rebounding, Josiah Everly (9.3 pts, 4.5 reb) has recorded nine steals and seven blocked shots over the last four games, and Hunter Matteson (9.2 pts, 5.6 reb) ranks second on the team in rebounding but has missed four straight games. 
•    Springfield is averaging 65.9 points on 40.4 percent shooting but is just 1-7 this winter when scoring less than 70 points. 

AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
•    Ferdinando enters the week ranked fourth in Division III shooting 50 percent from three-point range and is first in the NEWMAC and eighth nationally in three-pointers per game (3.42). 
•    O'Toole is first in the league and ranks 19th in Division III in offensive rebounds per game (3.75). 

EFFICIENT ON THE ROAD
•    After averaging just 0.99 points per possession on 36.6 percent shooting in home losses to WPI and Clark to begin NEWMAC play, the Beavers shot 50 percent and averaged 1.28 points per possession in Saturday's victory at Coast Guard. 
•    Babson knocked down 14 three-pointers after making just 12 and shooting 22.6 percent from deep in the losses to the Engineers and Cougars, and matched its season low with just seven turnovers. 

TRENDS TO WATCH
•    O'Toole has pulled down at least four offensive rebounds in nine of Babson's first 12 games and has grabbed 14 offensive boards in three NEWMAC contests. 
•    Over the last four games, Ferdinando is shooting 57.7 percent from three-point range (15-of-26) while also averaging 5.3 rebounds. 
•    Senior Tyler Lauder matched his season high with six assists in Saturday's victory at Coast Guard and is averaging 8.0 rebounds and 3.7 dimes over the last three contests. 
•    In three games since returning from the holiday break, Fiore is averaging 11.7 points on 47.8 percent shooting and has scored in double figures twice. 
•    Mulvey has dished out at least two assists in seven consecutive outings dating back to November 25. 
•    Sophomore Theo Lamb finished with career highs of six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench last Saturday at Coast Guard. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are turning the ball over on just 12 percent of their possessions through their first three NEWMAC games. 
•    Babson is 3-1 this season and 15-3 over the last two years when leading at halftime. 
•    The Green and White is 6-0 this winter when outrebounding its opponents. 
•    Babson is 6-1 this season and has won 14 of its last 15 games when making at least 10 three-pointers.
