Fowler, Berry Receive GCAA Cobalt All-America Scholar Honors

NORMAN, Okla.—Babson College rising senior Colin Fowler (Portland, Ore.) and rising junior Jack Berry (Western Springs, Ill.) were recognized for their success on the course and in the classroom when the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its 2025 Division III Cobalt All-America Scholars last week.

Fowler and Berry were among 206 student-athletes from 79 schools to receive GCAA Cobalt All-America Scholar accolades. To be eligible for the award, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, and have a stroke average under 79.0 while maintaining a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

In addition to the individual awards, the Beavers were one of 52 Division III programs to garner PLATFORM Golf All-Academic Team honors from the GCAA after concluding the 2024-25 year with a 3.27 grade-point average.

Fowler earned GCAA Cobalt All-America Scholars laurels for the second consecutive season after finishing the 2024-25 campaign with a 74.60 stroke average. He made four starts in the spring following a semester abroad and recorded a pair of top-20 finishes, which includes tying for 19th position with a 54-hole total of 4-over 220 at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate in early April and grabbing a share of 13th place with a 36-hole score of 4-over 144 in the Farmingdale State Invitational at Bethpage State Park in the season finale.

A GCAA All-Region I selection, Berry played in all but one of the Beavers' eight tournaments during the 2024-25 campaign and finished fourth on the team with a 75.06 stroke average over 17 rounds. He recorded one top-10 and four top-30 finishes, two of which came late in the season.

Berry shot 72-70 to tie for sixth place at 2-under in the Tiger Invitational back in March and fired a career-best round of 5-under 67 in the second round on the way to grabbing a share of 23rd position at the 54-hole Cochran Collegiate in Memphis on April 14-15. He closed the year with rounds of 73-72 to tie for 17th place in the Farmingdale State Invitational on the Bethpage State Park Red Course on April 19-20.

Babson recorded four top-five finishes in eight tournaments and concluded the 2024-25 season with a 296.15 team scoring average.
