NORMAN, Okla.—Babson College sophomore
Evan Eichenlaub (Bethlehem, Pa.) and first-year
Aman Vantipalli (Alpharetta, Ga.) added to their postseason awards haul with PING All-America honorable mention honors in an announcement made by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Wednesday afternoon.
Eichenlaub and Vantipalli, who garnered All-America laurels for the first time in their respective careers, were among 58 players recognized by the GCAA. Led by head coach
Jeff Page, the Beavers have now collected 10 All-America awards since 2020.
A two-time GCAA PING Region I selection, Eichenlaub led the Green and White with a 73.80 stroke average in 22 rounds in 2024-25. He recorded five top-six finishes including tying for second at both the Williams Invitational on September 21-22 and the 54-hole West Pines Collegiate on October 7-8, in addition to placing third at the Cochran Collegiate in Memphis on April 14-15.
Eichenlaub shot a 6-under 65 in the second round of the West Pines Collegiate on October 7 and finished under par four times on the season. He carded his low 36-hole score of the year with a 2-under 142 on the way to tying for sixth place at the Tiger Invitational in Pinehurst, N.C., on March 9-10.
The first player in program history to be selected to the NCAA Championship as an individual, Eichenlaub shot 82-74 at Cobblestone Creek Country Club and Midvale Country Club outside of Rochester, N.Y., on May 20-21.
Eichenlaub concluded the season ranked second in Region I and 43rd overall in the Scoreboard Division III rankings.
Vantipalli, who was named to the GCAA Division III All-Freshman Team last month, become the first Babson rookie to earn GCAA PING All-America honors with Wednesday's announcement. He finished the year with a 73.80 stroke average over 20 rounds and posted five rounds under par.
Vantipalli recorded three top-15 and six top-20 finishes in eight tournaments, which included tying for ninth with a 54-hole score of 2-over 215 at the West Pines Collegiate on October 7-8. He also shot 73-70-69 to grab a share of 20th at 1-under 213 in the Golfweek Fall Preview a week later and opened the spring by shooting 76-69 to tie for 17th place at 1-over 145 in the Tiger Invitational back in March.
Vantipalli concluded the season ranked fifth in Region I and 94th in the Scoreboard Division III rankings.
Babson, which posted four top-four results in eight tournaments, finished the year at No. 22 in the Scoreboard team rankings.
