WHAT TO KNOW
• Coming off a year that included a fourth straight NEWMAC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament second round for the fifth straight season, the Beavers open the 2025 campaign Friday afternoon against Endicott in Beverly, Mass., before hosting Swarthmore in the home opener on Sunday at MacDowell Field.
• The Green and White have amassed a 81-12 record over the past four seasons and will be looking for more success with four starters and eight regulars returning, including one All-Region selection and two NEWMAC post-season honorees.

• Babson holds a 13-4 advantage over Endicott in the all-time series that dates back to 1984.
• The Beavers have captured four in a row and five of the last six contests over the Gulls, including a 4-2 verdict in the season opener last year in Babson Park.

Caroline DiGiovanni scored three goals as Babson doubled up Endicott College, 4-2, in the season opener for both schools on August 30, 2024, at MacDowell Field.

A LOOK BACK
• Babson registered another outstanding campaign in 2024, finishing 19-4 overall, including a 14-game winning streak, and unbeaten (9-0) in NEWMAC regular season play for the eighth consecutive season to capture the program's ninth straight regular season title.
• The Beavers posted NEWMAC playoff victories over Wellesley (5-0) and No. 17 MIT (3-0) to capture the program's fourth straight and sixth overall conference championship, earning a ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the seventh in the last eight seasons.
• The seventh-ranked Green and White defeated Keene State (5-0) in NCAA Tournament opening round play at MacDowell Field before a 2-1 loss to 11th-ranked Bates in the second round in Medford, Mass.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (0-0) returns 20 veterans from last year's conference championship squad, which outscored its opponents 91-15 while recording 13 shutouts.

Sanne van der Goes, a three-year starter, is the top returning defender in the back. Senior goalie
Josie Ashton has made four career appearances in goal and has yet to allow a goal in 32 minutes of action.
• The Green and White is one of three programs, along with Middlebury and Johns Hopkins, to win at least 19 games over the last four seasons (2019-24).
SCOUTING THE GULLS
• Endicott (0-0) is coming off a 14-5 campaign in 2024, including a 5-0 record in the Conference of New England (CNE). The top-seeded Gulls were upset by the University of New England (3-2) in the CNE semifinals.
• Senior Tori Swanson (29-5-63) earned her second straight CNE Offensive Player of the Year and All-Region honors after leading Division III in scoring last season. Classmates Reagan Hicks (10-5-25) and Maddy Dengler (10-8-28) were also All-CNE selections on offense.
• Sophomore goalie Faith Minickene (1.66 GAA, 2 SO) was All-Region second team and All-CNE first team and classmate Riley Perkins was CNE Rookie of the Year and All-Conference first team on defense, along with senior back Natalia Correia.
• The Gulls have won four CNE championships in the last six seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023).
SCOUTING THE GARNET
• Swarthmore (0-0) posted an 11-9 overall record a year ago and a 7-3 mark in the Centennial Conference (CC). The 24th-ranked and third-seeded Garnet were upset by 15th-ranked and sixth seeded Bryn Mawr (3-0) in the CC Tournament first round.
• Senior Amelia Landry (4-3-11, 4 DS) earned All-Region and All-CC first team honors after leading the Garnet at both ends of the field. Classmate Sarah Cooper (4-3-11) was also productive at both ends of the field, scoring three of her four goals on penalty strokes.
• Sophomore Kayla Fink (0-2-2) was a strong contributor for the Garnet, earning All-Region and All-Conference second team recognition as well as Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year.
• Swarthmore was nationally ranked by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association the last five weeks of the season last year.
LEADER ON THE SIDELINE
• Babson is led by 19th-year head coach
Julie Ryan, who has achieved a 268-98 record (.732), including a 118-20 mark against NEWMAC opponents. A 10-time Coach of the Year, she has led the program to six conference tournament championships and eight NCAA Tournament berths.
• Ryan ranks eighth in winning percentage and 15th in wins among active Division III coaches, and 15th in Division III history in winning percentage.
SEASON OPENERS
• Babson has won four straight and 15 of its last 16 season openers dating back to 2008, including last year's 4-2 victory over Endicott.
• The Beavers had an 11-game winning streak in season debuts snapped in 2019 with a 3-1 loss to Endicott.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
• Babson finished 11-1 at home last season and has won 49 of its last 54 home games since the start of the 2021 season.
• Eight of last year's 11 wins and 16 of the last 25 home victories have come by way of the shutout.

• Babson has been ranked in the Division III top 10 in 37 consecutive polls dating back to October 5, 2021.
