VICTOR, N.Y.—Babson College sophomore Evan Eichenlaub (Bethlehem, Pa.) made his NCAA Division III Championship debut on Tuesday afternoon, shooting an 82 at Cobblestone Creek Country Club. 

Eichenlaub, who was one of 10 individuals selected to compete in this year's championship is tied for 179th position in the 225-player field at 10-over par. The top six individuals will advance to the to play the final two rounds following Wednesday's 36-hole cut and Eichenlaub will need to make up a five-shot deficit in the second round. 

Eichenlaub played his nine holes in 2-over, which included seven consecutive pars to end the round after getting off to a tough start on his opening nine. He made a double-bogey on the par-4 first hole and made four pars and three bogeys over a stretch of seven holes before making a triple bogey on the par-4 ninth. 

Eichenlaub will begin his second round at 8 a.m. on Wednesday at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, N.Y.
