WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in program history with its win over Bowdoin last Saturday and will face top-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Monday in southern California.
• The Beavers are the first NEWMAC squad to reach the NCAA quarterfinals since MIT back in 2000 and 2001.

SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 0-2 all-time against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a series that dates back to 2012.
• The Beavers have been blanked in both of their previous matchups versus the Stags, which includes dropping last year's semifinal contest in the Stag-Hen Invitational.
LAST MEETING
• Advik Mareedu and Anirudh Reedy combined for a win at number two doubles and followed it up with victories in singles as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps defeated Babson, 7-0, on March 15, 2024, in Claremont, Calif.
• Matthew Robinson and Anirudh Gupta were straight-set winners, while Ian Freer and Warren Pham both recorded three-set triumphs in singles for the Stags, who claimed the opening set in all six matches.

• No. 12 Babson (22-2) extended its winning streak to 10 matches with a 4-3 triumph over No. 8 Bowdoin in last Saturday's NCAA Brunswick regional final.

• Lepsoe and Merson (13-2) have won nine straight matches at number one doubles, Anderson and Mendoza have been victorious in seven of their last eight contests at number two to improve to 11-3 and the duo of Zhang and Wang are 8-6 this spring at number three.

• No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (30-2) extended its winning streak to 30 matches and remained unbeaten against Division III foes with a 4-0 victory over No. 25 Trinity (Texas) in last Sunday's NCAA Claremont regional final.
• Mareedu was a winner alongside Josh Kim at number two doubles and won 6-4, 6-4 at number one singles, while Pham and Robinson both registered straight-set victories in singles for the Stags, who are advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals for the 14th consecutive tournament going back to 2010.
• Mareedu (34-1) is the top-ranked singles player in Division III, Pham (22-7) is ranked 15th nationally and the trio of Robinson (25-7), Kim (20-3) and Tarm Rojanasoonthon (16-8) are all among the top-10 players in the ITA West Region rankings.
• Caleb Settles and Brandon Vu (28-11) are 16th in the ITA Division III doubles rankings, Kim and Mareedu (21-7) are currently ranked 12th and the pairing of Robinson and Pham are 18-3 this spring at number three doubles.
MEN'S TENNIS SWEEPS MAJOR AWARDS, LANDS SIX ON ALL-CONFERENCE SQUADS
• Anderson was selected as the NEWMAC Player of the Year, Wang was named rookie of the year and head coach
Michael Kopelman, associate head coach Alan Dubrovksy and assistant coach
Mihir Auty were selected as the league's coaching staff of the year last week.
• Anderson, Merson, Mendoza and Wang were among nine players that received all-conference singles honors, while Lepsoe and Merson, Anderson and Mendoza, and Zhang and Wang all garnered All-NEWMAC doubles accolades.
• Kopelman and his staff were tabbed as the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year for the second time in the last three seasons.
BEAVERS IN THE POSTSEASON
• Babson is making its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2021.
• After dropping first round matches in both 1997 and 2013, the Beavers have now won their opening match in three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2021, 2025)
• Prior to last Saturday's win over Bowdoin, Babson's only previous regional final appearance came in 2021 when it suffered a 5-0 loss to Emory.
ASSAULT ON THE RECORD BOOKS
• The Beavers have set a number of team and individual records during the 2024-25 campaign, which includes earning their highest national ranking in program history at No. 11 back in April and breaking the single-season record for wins
• Wang's 24 singles wins surpassed the previous mark set by David Weisman '98, who went 19-0 on the way to capturing the 1998 Division III singles national championship, while Merson and Mendoza have both matched the previous mark with 19 singles wins apiece.
• Merson (22), Lepsoe (21), Anderson (20) and Medoza (17) have all surpassed the previous mark of 16 doubles victories in a season held by four players.
• Jon Martin's '05 record of 30 combined singles and doubles victories set back in 2003-04 has been surpassed by Wang (40), Merson (40), Mendoza (36) and Anderson (34), and matched by Lepsoe this season.
SUCCESSFUL SENIORS
• The trio of Anderson, Zhang and Lepsoe enter Monday's match ranked fourth through sixth on the Beavers' all-time combined wins list.
• Anderson's 90 victories are good for fourth place behind only Brandon Rosenbluth '18 (102), Victor Vu '16 (101) and Jon Martin '05 (98), Zhang is fifth with 85 wins and Lepsoe is right behind him in sixth place having amassed 84 career victories.
• Anderson's 50 doubles wins are good for fourth on the Beavers' all-time list, while his 40 triumphs in singles rank seventh in school history.
TOURNAMENT TRENDS
• The Beavers have won 10 consecutive matches at number one doubles and eight of their last nine at number two.
• The Green and Whtie has won 16 consecutive matches at number four singles, 10 in a row at number six and is 15-2 at number five over its last 17 contests.
• Prior to last Saturday's win over Bowdoin, Babson had been 21-0 when winning the doubles point and 0-2 when trailing entering singles.
• The Beavers are 8-2 this season against ITA top-40 foes including a 2-1 mark against top-10 opponents with wins over Bowdoin and Middlebury and a loss to Tufts.
• Babson went 2-0 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center during its spring break trip to California recording a 5-2 win over then-No. 8 Middlebury on March 16 and a 7-0 victory over then-No. 32 Salisbury on March 17.
