WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson softball team begins the final week of the regular season with a road test at Endicott on Tuesday, which is followed by its penultimate NEWMAC doubleheader against Clark in Worcester on Wednesday afternoon.
SERIES HISTORY
vs. Endicott
• Babson is 14-13 all-time against the Gulls in a series that dates back to 2002.
• Five of the last seven meetings between the teams have been decided by a single run dating back to the 2021 NCAA Tournament, which includes the Beavers rallying from a 7-4 deficit and scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 9-8 win to complete a sweep of Endicott last season at Alumni Field.
• The Green and White is just 4-6 all-time against the Gulls in Beverly and suffered a 6-5 loss back in 2023.
vs. Clark
• Babson is 45-19 all-time against the Cougars in a series that dates back to 1996.
• Babson has won 27 consecutive games versus Clark going back to 2012, which includes 1-0 and 11-3 victories in last year's doubleheader in Babson Park.
• The Green and White has won 14 games in a row against the Cougars in Worcester and its road loss in the series was a 5-3 setback in game two of a doubleheader on March 28, 2009.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (21-11, 11-5 NEWMAC) has won three consecutive games after finishing off a sweep of Salve Regina with a 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Sophia Pak is batting .465 with a four extra-base hits, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored, Moore has raised her average to .381 with a double, two triples, 14 RBI and team highs of 21 stolen bases and 26 runs scored, and sophomore
Emily Walsh is hitting .303 with seven doubles, 11 RBI and 18 runs scored.
• Whiteford (10-5, 1.61 ERA) has five shutouts and 113 strikeouts in 100.0 innings pitched, graduate student
Moira O'Reilly (7-5, 1.77 ERA) has won five of her last six starts and has 89 strikeouts in 83.0 innings, and sophomore
Katie Vlacich is 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 31.2 innings of work this spring.
SCOUTING THE GULLS
• Endicott (18-12) snapped a two-game skid with an 8-7 eight-inning victory over Hartford in game two of Sunday's doubleheader.
• Chloe Shapleigh went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Mia Mitchell singled twice and scored a pair of runs for the Gulls, who rallied from a 4-0 deficit and scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings and three times in the bottom of the eighth for the walk-off win.
• Abby McClaflin is batting .364 with six doubles, three homers, 17 RBI and 25 runs scored, Elyse Saccoccio is hitting .344 with five doubles, three home runs, 18 RBI and 27 runs scored, and Shapleigh owns a .318 average to go along with seven doubles, three homers ad a team-high 30 runs batted in.
• Analise Grady is 6-3 with a 2.98 ERA in a team-high 63.1 innings pitched, Kristen Beebe is 7-2 with a 3.02 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 46.1 innings, and Jaylin Couto is 5-5 with a 3.22 earned run average and 53 strikeouts in 58.2 innings of work this spring.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
• Clark (14-20, 4-12 NEWMAC) has dropped six consecutive games after suffering a 4-0 loss to Springfield in game two of Sunday's doubleheader.
• Rebecca Mauro doubled, Megan Dube singled and Brooke Buzzeo allowed just one run over the first five innings before giving up three in the sixth for the Cougars, who finished with just two hits and have now been blanked in three of their last four contests.
• Mauro is batting .412 with 11 doubles, a home run, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored, Dube is hitting .313 with eight doubles, a homer and 18 runs batted in, and Avery Della Piana owns a .297 average to go along with two doubles, 21 RBI and eight runs scored.
• Buzzeo is 6-9 with a 3.73 ERA, one shutout and 75 strikeouts in 99.1 innings pitched, while Dube is 7-10 with a 4.32 earned run average, three shutouts and 71 strikeouts in 94.0 innings in the circle this spring.
PLAYOFF SCENARIOS
• Babson enters Wednesday's twin bill at Clark as part of a three-way tie for second place in the NEWMAC standings along with Springfield and WPI at 11-5, which is two games in back of first-place MIT (13-3).
• All four teams have secured a place in next week's conference tournament the top two seeds will secure a first-round bye and at least one home game.
• Springfield split with both Babson and WPI earlier this spring, and the Beavers and Engineers will meet for a pair of games to close the regular season on Saturday in Worcester.
WHITEFORD COLLECTS THIRD CONFERENCE HONOR
• Following a week that included a no-hitter, a pair of shutouts and two wins, Whiteford was tabbed as the NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
• She struck out 10 while twirling her second no-hitter of the year in a 1-0 win over Bates last Thursday and followed it up with the shutout against Salve Regina while going 2-0 with a 0.58 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 15.1 innings over three appearances.
HIT PARADE
• Moore, who became just the third player to surpass 200 career hits last Thursday against Bates, leads the team with 14 multi-hit games and needs seven more knocks to join Andrea Cartullo '07 and Catie Funk '13 as the only players to record 50 or more hits in three different seasons.
• Pak, who is second on the team with 12 multi-hit games, ranks second in the NEWMAC in batting average and is also is third with a career-high 47 hits.
• Moore enters the week with a seven-game hit streak, Pak has at least one knock in six consecutive games, and DeStefano has singled in each of her last three starts.
CIRCLE OF TRUST
• Babson's pitching staff of O'Reilly, Whiteford and Vlacich is tops in the NEWMAC and ranks 11th in Division III in hits allowed per seven innings (5.22), 21st nationally in earned run average (1.86) and 23rd in the country with a 1.11.
• The Beavers' eight shutouts are good for second in the conference and 43rd in Division III, and their 3.05 strikeout-to-walk ratio ranks second in the league and 29th nationally.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 4-5 on the road this season and six of the nine games have been decided by one run.
• Babson is 19-1 this spring when scoring at least three runs.
• The Green and White is 19-4 when outhitting its opponents on the year.
• The Beavers are 16-0 this season and 80-5 over the last four seasons when leading after five innings.
