DeLong, Pak and Sealey Earn CSC Softball Academic All-District Honors

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Three members of the Babson College softball team were recognized for their success in the classroom with College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors earlier this week.

Senior Sophia Pak (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and junior Lexi Sealey (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) both earned CSC Academic All-District accolades for the second consecutive season, while sophomore Maddy DeLong (Cranford, N.J.) was recognized for the first time in her career.

Since 1952, CSC has honored more than 40,000 outstanding student-athletes across the NCAA. Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.

Pak started all 32 games she saw action in this spring, batting .269 with five RBI and 16 runs scored. She recorded six multi-hit games and reached base safely in 21 contests.

An all-conference and all-region selection in 2025 when she tied the program's single-season record with 63 hits, Pak started 129 of 137 career games and finished with a .329 average to go along with 17 extra-base hits, 50 RBI and 57 runs scored.

Sealey had a terrific debut campaign for the Beavers after transferring from Hartford batting .355 with 17 doubles, a home run, 28 RBI and 23 run scored in 43 starts. She led the team in hits (49), extra-base hits (19), slugging percentage (.514) and total bases (71), in addition to going 3-3 with three saves and a 3.71 ERA in 60.1 innings over 20 appearances in the circle.

Sealey, who led the team with 14 multi-hit games and tied for the team lead with six multi-RBI games, earned All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) second-team honors earlier this month.

DeLong started all 43 games at shortstop this season and hit .258 with seven doubles, 12 RBI, 12 walks and 18 runs scored. She finished the year with a career-high 31 knocks and recorded seven multi-hit and three multi-RBI games. Additionally, DeLong helped turn 15 double plays in the field.

DeLong has started all 82 games over her first two seasons at Babson and has 10 doubles, one home run, 25 RBI and 33 runs scored while batting .243.

The Beavers finished fourth in the NEWMAC regular season standings and concluded the season at 20-23.
