SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 21-11 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1994.
•    The Beavers have won their last 10 matches versus the Lyons and have not dropped a point in any of the last four matchups between the teams. 

POSTSEASON HISTORY
•    Babson and Wheaton have met just three times in the conference playoffs and Tuesday's match will be the first between the squads in the postseason since 2010. 
•    The Beavers beat the Lyons 5-4 in the NEW 6 quarterfinals back in 1987 and were 5-1 winners in the 2003 semifinals before dropping 5-3 decision in the 2010 semifinals. 

LAST MEETING
•    Junior Matia Cristiani, sophomore Chaniel Soffer and first-year Alessandra Cristiani all recorded wins in both singles and doubles to help Babson cruise past Wheaton, 7-0, on April 22 in Norton, Mass. 
•    Juniors Grace Starcher and Shyla Khattar and sophomore Riya Matharoo also posted singles victories for the Beavers, who captured all six matches in straight sets after dropping just two points across three doubles matches. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Third-seeded and 15th-ranked Babson (12-5) concluded its regular season with a 4-3 loss at No. 13 Amherst on Saturday. 
•    Senior Olivia Soffer and Matia Cristiani combined for a 6-4 win at number one doubles and then posted straight-set victories at first and second singles, respectively, for the Beavers, who dropped a pair of three-set decisions in the loss. 
•    Third-ranked Olivia Soffer is 23-4 overall and 13-1 this spring at number one singles, 15th-ranked Matia Cristiani is 22-1 in all matches and 12-0 at number two, Alessandra Cristiani is 17-7 overall and 7-4 at number four, and Chaniel Soffer is 16-7 in all matches and 8-4 at third singles. 
•    Olivia Soffer and Matia Cristiani are 19-2 overall and 12-1 at number one singles, Chaniel Soffer and Alessandra Cristiani have gone 9-6 at number, and the duo of sophomore Dana Kamal and first-year Mia Sorrentino is 3-2 this spring at number three. 

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Sixth-seeded Wheaton (6-11) has lost its last three matches after suffering a 6-1 loss at Smith in Saturday's regular season finale. 
•    Taylor Wilson won by retirement at number five singles and teamed with Haylee Doiron for a 7-6 (7-5) victory at number three doubles for the Lyons, who are back in the NEWMAC Tournament after a one-year hiatus. 
•    Wilson is 9-6 overall and 8-4 at number five singles, Asia-Leigh Hollis and Maya Brennan have both won six times this spring, and Laila Haraj-Sai has recorded five victories at number two singles. 
•    Wilson and Brennan are 8-3 at number three doubles, Kara Greenlee and Alissa Ortiz have gone 6-11 at number one, and the pairing of Hollis and Haraj-Sai is 5-11 at number two. 

BEAVERS SWEEP NEWMAC WEEKLY AWARDS
•    Matia Cristiani was selected as the league's singles player of the week for the second time this spring, while she and Olivia Soffer was tabbed the conference's doubles team of the week for the third time this season on Monday.
•    Cristiani was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Wheaton's Greenlee at number one last Tuesday and then edged 33-ranked ranked Amy Cui of Amherst, 6-4, 6-4, at number two singles on Saturday. 
•    Soffer and Cristiani ran their winning streak to 10 matches with victories over Greenlee and Ortiz of Wheaton and 22nd-ranked Lily Dounchis and Delialia Friedman of Amherst on Saturday in a rematch of last year's NCAA doubles semifinals. 

POSTSEASON SUCCESS
•    Olivia Soffer and Matia Cristiani, who are currently ranked third in Division III, are 6-0 all-time at number one doubles in the postseason. 
•    Soffer is 5-0 in NEWMAC and NCAA Tournament play at number one singles, while Cristiani is 6-0 in her career at number two. 

BEAVERS IN THE POSTSEASON
•    Babson is 9-2 all-time in the quarterfinal round of the NEWMAC Tournament, which includes five consecutive victories going back to 2010.
•    The Beavers have claimed a pair of NEWMAC Tournament championships (2003, 2014) and have reached the semifinal round in each of the last 13 tournaments going back to 2011. 
•    The Green and White has won its last nine postseason matches at home, a streak that dates back to its 2013 quarterfinal triumph over Mount Holyoke. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    Matia Cristiani has won 17 straight singles matches, Olivia Soffer has won 13 in a row and the quartet of Starcher, Khattar, Matharoo and Alessandra Cristiani all enter the postseason with four-match winning streaks. 
•    The Beavers are 12-2 on the year when winning the doubles point.

UP NEXT
•    The winner of Tuesday's match will travel to second-seeded and 16th-ranked Wellesley for a semifinal match on Saturday.
